Hello Sunday

Good Morning ☀️

Move.

Go.

Do.

and

Have Fun!

I think I need to adopt that as my new motto—“Move, go, do, and have fun!”

Yesterday evening, I attended a social event hosted by the African American Military History Museum for a local nonprofit. I bought a ticket a couple of weeks ago. However, by the time yesterday afternoon rolled around, I didn’t feel like going. I wanted to lounge around and watch movies. Plus, my hair wasn’t done, and I wasn’t feeling the dress I had planned to wear. In other words, I was thinking of every reason to stay home. The event started at six. At 4:30, I decided to push myself to go.

Y’all, I’m so glad I went! I had a wonderful time. My hair was a mess (I’m not feeling my hair these days—should have left it longer… ugh), and my makeup was iffy. However, the dress I ended up wearing didn’t require any special shapewear to cinch my waist, and the shoes I chose made me feel glammed. When I arrived, none of the people I usually hung out with were there. So, that forced me to mingle with people I had only had random chats with in the past. Listen, we laughed, sang, and danced until the end of the event. Yes, I had a wonderful time.

I’ll end with this, God is so strategic. Everything that happened yesterday—even to my hair and makeup, throwing me off—had to happen. It pushed me to move beyond what would’ve previously held me back—that box I wrote about in yesterday’s post. My people not showing up was another strategic move. It allowed me to have deeper conversations with people I needed to connect with. Very strategic!

I see you God!

This is all for now. I’m about to roll over and go back to sleep. I hope your weekend has been lovely thus far. Praying you have a beautifully blessed day!♥️

I love you,

Shaun
