Look At God

Moment of transparency.

Here’s what I shared on social media this morning. All week I’ve been sharing photos leading up to the conference. Not only of myself, but photos from past conferences. So, of course, today I needed to share. Well, here’s what I shared this morning.

Today is a good day because God is in it. Amen.

Been singing Koryne Hawthorne’s “Look at God” all morning.

“Look at God, He’s making a way. Look at God, every day. Look at God, I can’t take no credit, He’s the one who did it.
Look at God, oh, look at God.”

Yeah… That’s what I shared. And I was singing and listening to “Look At God,” because God showed up this morning! You know that still small voice we often hear but ignore? Well, I heard the voice last night when I set my alarm, but I blew it off. And guess what?! I over slept!

I chose the alarm set for weekdays instead of daily. I heard to voice say, “It says, ‘weekdays.’” But did I listen? Noooo… I was like, that’s what it says but that’s not what it means. Well, I ended up paying for it this morning. Y’all, I only had 40 minutes to get ready. I had plans to curl my hair, eat breakfast, pack, and checkout before I went to the conference. Didn’t have time to do any of it. HOWEVER, I made it to the conference on time.

I’m writing all of this to say, even when we don’t listen, God still has our backs!!! And it’s raining anyway so my curls wouldn’t have lasted. I still got to eat breakfast because our board meeting ended early. Now, I’m back at the hotel writing this post before I pack to check out.
