My Journey With God, No. 133

Earlier today, I attended a memorial service for a friend’s son who passed away before Christmas. After his passing, he was cremated, so there was no funeral or formal service held. His mom still wanted to honor him, so today we celebrated his life. He was 66 when he passed.

As always, death makes me think about life. After I got home, I sat for a while just to be. I will be 53 years old in a few months, and the thought of death made me realize how much I truly love life and how much I love myself, not in an egotistical way, but with admiration. I admire who I am and look forward to meeting the woman I have yet to become.

Y’all, I have lived! I’ve had some pretty awesome experiences, and I’ve had some really awful ones. But guess what? I’m still here! And I plan to be here for many decades to come.

Feeling so very thankful and blessed.♥️

Me being authentically ME and showing myself some love on this Self-Love Saturday.

Stand Firmly On The Rock

“Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me. Keep me free from the trap that is set for me, for you are my refuge.” Psalm 31:3-4

Standing firmly on The Rock—my God, my Refuge. It’s in Him that I find peace and protection.

I pray you’ve found refuge in God, too. Allow Him to cover you.♥️

Love you,

Shaun
