What now feels like back-to-back posts (because my last post was scheduled for the wrong time😩) is actually hours between writings. This is how my weekend has gone…

My daughter arrived Friday evening, and yesterday we were on the move from early morning until late last night. Then, after spending most of the day and evening with her, my late brother’s wife was in town for an event and stayed at my house afterwards. She got in after eleven last night, and we didn’t go to bed until close to two this morning. However, before I went to sleep, I wrote my “Hello Sunday” and scheduled it to be published at 4:00 AM (mistakenly scheduled it for 4:00 PM..ugh). Laughing because I was so confident that it had posted that I never checked after I woke up. As soon as I got up, I was on the move again getting ready for church.

Y’all, this is how busy my life had been since the week leading up to my 52nd birthday. There’s been something different happening every week. Right now, my life has no structure. I am literally going with the flow.

I fell asleep as soon as I made it home from church. This upcoming week is already full, but next weekend I’m resting and relaxing for sure. Y’all, I’m tired for real!

The quote suggests that my current situation is preparation for what I asked for. Y’all, I don’t remember asking for anything on this side of 50 to be so busy that I can barely catch my breath. I’m supposed to be chilling, relaxing, and taking on small, pet projects—the time-consuming stuff was supposed to happen before I turned 50. However, I’m doing more now than I was before 50. I guess this year of “favor, overflow, and grace” is really about finding balance and managing exhaustion. I am TIRED, y’all!

Went to a Family & Friends Day church service with my daughter and her fiancé. Now they’re heading home.
