I had to remind myself of this yesterday. I received an email that felt like a blow to everything I had been working toward. When in reality, it only meant that I needed to regroup and press forward.
I may not be able to control everything that happens in my life, but I can control how I respond. I am the artist of my life, and it’s up to me to create the life and future I desire.

Saw this Facebook memory and had to share. It’s the story of my life!
Sometimes the weight of the world tells us, “This is it! You’ve reached your destination.” Yet, every sunrise says there’s more to do and see. Life is not over.
I have had many detours in my life, along with many disappointments and setbacks, that led me to believe I had reached the end of my road. But God said, “Not so.” I’m still here, which means I have yet to reach my destination, and everything in my life is still on track.
God is so good.
