My Journey With God, No. 124

It’s early in the morning (a little after 2:30 a.m.) and I’m wide awake. This past week has left me exhausted. I fell asleep before 8:00 P.M. Now, I’m up thinking about several things I still need to finish up today. Then, tomorrow I have obligations to fulfill—fun obligations. However, all I really want to do is chill.

All of this has me thinking about things I’ve asked God for or have said I wanted. All are requiring me to show up, not only physically but mentally. Yesterday I found myself asking, “Is this what I asked for?”. And the answer was yes. It’s what I asked for in seed and baby form. I have to keep nurturing and growing it. The funny thing is, I can’t throw in the towel or quit. I have to see things through.

A few weeks ago, I wrote about balance. I’m not sure why I thought it would happen overnight. It’s also something I’m continuing to work towards. Some days are better than others; however, I’m getting there.

Anyhoo… Just felt like writing instead of journaling. Plus, it’s been a while since I’ve written without writing to encourage others. By the way, I’m a great aunt! My oldest nephew had his first child (a son) a little over a week ago. I can’t wait to see him in person. They asked what I wanted to be called and for some reason I blurted out “Auntie Suga Baby.” Now, where did that come from?!!😂 Talk about Southern!

Anyhoo… Good Night/Morning. I need to go to sleep or get some work done.♥️

Love you,

Shaun

  1. I really hope and pray you’re not going to have that baby out here calling you, “Auntie Suga Baby.” for real. Cuz… 🤣😂😩 NO. Lol. Lawd. Lol. Congratulations to your nephew and family! Babies are blessings.

    1. Thanks, trE! Yes, babies are a blessing.🥰

As for Auntie Suga Baby, I’ve been testing it—“Come to Auntie Suga Baby.” Might just have him call me Suga Baby. “Give Suga Baby a hug.”😂😂😂 I’m going to see my little nieces and nephews tomorrow. I’ll ask them what they think. To them I’m Auntie or TT Shaun. I’ll let you know what they think. Lol
