Having a Moment

Y’all, I have adult children!

As in, I no longer have babies.

As in, my children are self-sufficient and living their own lives.

Yep…

I’m having a moment.

I’m not even sure how to feel in this moment.

It’s not like they haven’t been adults for a few years now.

Maybe my sisters preparing for their kids to return to school triggered these feelings. Plus, I did spend the weekend with one of my sisters and her four very active kids. Lol. Now there’s silence.

It’s a little too quiet.

Yep! I’m having a moment.

But…

I’ll be okay in a minute or two.

I just need to let this moment pass.

How did they grow up so fast?!?!

    1. trE, I’m cracking up because that moment only lasted less than an hour.😂😂😂 Girl, in my 33 years of having nephews and nieces, THIS year was my first having a girl’s sleepover with my nieces. I had them for two days and glad to hand them back over to their moms. I’ve always told them that I’m a few hours kind of auntie. Unless there’s an emergency, I can only keep them long enough to watch a movie or two and maybe have a meal. There’s a reason my two are eight years apart.😂 I tell my siblings all the time that they ruined it for their kids. They were some BAD kids!😂😂😂

      1. One of the reasons I LEGIT do not have children is because my siblings were birth control enough. I’m the eldest of seven. I’m good!

Lol. I’m like you… I’m not trying to keep anyone no more than a day or two or a few hours. Lol.
