I Guess This Is My Song

“In Times Like These,” is once again stuck in my head. Not sure what it means. Trying not to read too much into it. Intentionally blocking the negative. However, I am human and this human side of me is wondering if my anchor is as secure as I believed it to be.

Hmmm…

Giving it to God, but also heeding the message.

That’s all. Praying you have a wonderful night!♥️

By the way, my show, Tyler Perry’s Sistas returns tonight! Can’t wait to see what factitious drama happens tonight. I believe we could all use a break from the real craziness that seems to be happening. Shaking my head.

Anyhoo… make sure your anchor is secure also.

Good Night!

In Times Like These

There was a time when I was unsure if I could worship God more than a few times a week. Didn’t think it would be possible to give Him my all. Never wanted to be seen as someone who was “ too religious.” Had spent the majority of my teenage years being called a “church girl.” So, once I was grown and on my own, I wanted to distance myself from that image. Didn’t want to be seen as a “Holy Roller.” Well, the more I tried to distance myself, the more I was drawn back to who I was.

Now, here I am fully embracing that part of me. I am a child of God, and I am honored to worship Him.

I should be asleep right now but the song, “In Times Like These,” keeps playing over and over in my head. I can hear my mom singing—

In times like these you need a Savior
In times like these you need an anchor
Be very sure, be very sure
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock

This Rock is Jesus, Yes He’s the One
This Rock is Jesus, the only One
Be very sure, be very sure
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock

Lyrics: MusixMatch

Jesus is my rock.

Okay… That’s all. Good night for real this time.♥️
