Girl, You Made It!

Write a letter to your 100-year-old self.

Shaun, my dear Shaun, YOU MADE IT!!

You always knew you would live to be 100 and beyond. Girl, you lived! You lived your life to its fullest. Your entire world changed when you decided to release the limits from yourself and God. It was as if God’s glory began to shine through you and every facet of your life. You reached heights you never knew was possible. Your faith, hope, and belief were unmatched. You loved and were and still are loved. You encouraged and inspired souls all across the world. You raised beautiful individuals who have become beacons of light to others. You became the world you wanted to see. You became love. You became hope. You became joy. You became peace.

You are God’s child, and He is very pleased with all you’ve done and given. As you journey beyond 100, continue resting in God and allowing Him to lead. As you know, He’s got you, Girl, and I got you too!

I love you soooo much.

You are my heart.

You made it!!😘

Shaun

Cherish Momma

What advice would you give to your teenage self?

I would advise my teenage self to extend grace to my mother. Understand that although she is a mother, she’s human, too. She wants to be loved, respected, and appreciated, just like you. She’s had her heart broken more times than you know, but she always manages to recover—at least outwardly. You will later learn the toll it took on her mentally, emotionally, and physically. Give her hugs. Tell her you love her. Buy her little gifts. Write her notes. Love on her because one day, she’ll be gone, and you will wish that you had done all those things throughout your relationship, not just the last few months of her life.

Cherish Momma♥️

I wish I could give her one more hug.🌺

Eyeliner

Describe an item you were incredibly attached to as a youth. What became of it?

Funny story! As a teenager, I would not leave the house without eyeliner. I had to wear it everywhere. I was so addicted to it. But who wasn’t in the 80s and early 90s?

So, what became of it?

I joined the Air Force and went to basic training. Once I discovered I could live without eyeliner, I stopped wearing it all the time. Now, 30 plus years later, I only wear it when I put makeup on, which is a few times a month—if that.☺️

Being A Mother

What are you most proud of in your life?

I am most proud of being a mother. Almost daily, I marvel at the fact that I actually have children—adult children. I never knew I could love and be loved so deeply. They are my biggest cheerleaders, my greatest supporters, my protectors, my encouragers, my friends (they still know I’m their mom). The relationship I have with them is the relationship I always longed for with my mother, and now I have it. I am truly blessed.🥰

Nonprofits and Organizations That Support Causes I Am Passionate About

If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to?

If I had a million dollars to give away—meaning I’m in a good place financially to give it away☺️—I would give it to nonprofits and other organizations that support the same or similar causes I am passionate about.

So many people require assistance due to inequities, lack of resources, health disparities, disasters (both natural and man made), geographic locations, and just life in general (our mental and emotional wellbeing definitely matters). I wish I could personally help everyone; however, I know that’s impossible. Therefore, I would give to organizations that can. It would be my way of reaching those I cannot physically see or touch.

My mission in life is to spread as much love and hope to as many people as possible. I believe meeting their needs will in turn accomplish this. So, yeah, that’s what I would do.♥️
