There’s this saying in the military, across all branches: “hurry up and wait.” “Hurry up and wait” is exactly what patience means. It’s when things seem to be moving right along, and then you’re hit with a wait. One day, I will write about what “hurry up and wait” has looked like in my life. I have so many stories I could share. Instead, I’ll leave you with this—
During the wait, something is always happening. It’s not a dead, inactive time period. It’s when God works behind the scenes, placing people in your life who will protect your purpose and calling while removing those who won’t. So don’t despise the wait. It’s for your good. Instead, be patient and follow God’s guidance. Soon, everything will start moving right along again… until the next wait. Smile. But don’t worry, you’ll reach your destination.
