You Can Wait

If God tells you to “wait,” then wait. Don’t try to rush things along by interfering with what God is doing. Waiting means setting aside what you’re waiting for and focusing on something else—believe me, there are plenty of other things to focus on—without constantly checking or asking God if it’s time. Leave it alone. God will let you know when the wait is over. In the meantime, enjoy what you have right in front of you.

HA! That’s what I am saying now.

It wasn’t until Year50 that I released everything to God. As I have written before, I let my timeline go. For as far back as I can remember, I have had a timeline for something or have tried to help God along with things I felt He was moving to slowly with. To me, He never seemed to have the same sense of urgency as I did. I would often tell Him, “I’m not waiting 2-3 years.” Only to have the joke be on me because it would be 10, 20, or 30 years later before it happened. Yes, some things I have had to wait 30 years to see.

What I have learned is, God has us wait for a reason. Although it feels like we are being punished, it’s the exact opposite, we are actually being protected. Allow God to protect you (sometimes He’s protecting you from yourself because you’re not ready). As I mentioned before, while you wait, enjoy what’s in front of you. Take advantage of every opportunity and blessing you currently have. In due time the wait will be over, and guess what—you won’t even know how or when it happened. Smile

Praying you have a relaxing day and safe 4th of July. Love you!♥️
