Two Weeks In

I have been 53 years old for exactly two weeks now. Woohoo!!🎉

So do I feel any differently?

Ummm… A little.

I feel a little more settled. A little more relaxed. Definitely breathing easier and taking things in stride. Not moving too fast and not going too slow. Everything is moving at the right pace.

Everything is good.

Today is my birthday, and I am blessed to be here, to be ALIVE!!🎉

My prayer for this year and years to come is to be covered and completely surrounded by God’s love, goodness, and grace.

My scripture for this year is Psalm 23:6—

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”

The Peace of God

The peace that God gives is nothing like the peace we attempt to create for ourselves. His peace isn’t superficial. It’s not something that can be captured in a photo. His peace is soul deep, and once you’ve experienced it, you never want to live without it.

This morning I’m thankful for my God-given peace.

In less than two weeks, I’ll be 53!!🥰🎉

I already know Year53 will be different because I’m different. As I told my sister-friends (because we’re more than besties☺️), with each decade comes a different level of maturity, wisdom, and desires. Our fifties aren’t meant to be like our forties, and our sixties are not meant to be like our fifties. Change is good. Growth is good. This side of fifty is good.💖
