Praise The Lord

Good Morning☀️

Since 2020, I have begun my day with reading Psalm 113. It all started when my friend Tara sent me a scripture from this chapter, which led me to read the entire chapter. I’ve been reading it every morning since.

Here is what I wrote—

“Before I forget, this morning’s scripture from Tara came from Psalm 113. I was led to read the entire chapter. This chapter matches what I am feeling at the moment. What I was feeling last night. It begins with “Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord…” Whew!”

Praise the Lord, y’all!

Psalm 113 (NIV)

1. Praise the Lord.  Praise the Lord, you his servants; praise the name of the Lord.

2. Let the name of the Lord be praised, both now and forevermore.

3. From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.

4. The Lord is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens.

5. Who is like the Lord our God, the One who sits enthroned on high,

6. who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?

7. He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap;

8. he seats them with princes, with the princes of his people.

9. He settles the childless [barren] woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the Lord.

Good Morning! Woke up this morning with this scripture playing over and over in my head.

Psalm 34:1—I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Continually…

Never ceasing…

Always…

God’s praise shall continually be in my mouth. Amen

Tonight, I am praying for those in need of food, clothing, shelter, and safety.

Praying for those struggling with addiction(s), anxiety, fear, and depression.

Praying for those who have experienced loss, setbacks, disappointments and other challenges.

Praying for those in need of love, peace, joy, and happiness.

Lord, please meet and/or exceed everyone’s needs.

Lastly, I’m praying for YOU. May God bless you and keep you in His care. May He grant you love, peace, and grace.♥️

Sitting Here Counting My Blessings

Singer, Koryn Hawthorne, begins her song, “Look At God,” with “Sitting here counting my blessings…”

I have so many blessings—too numerous to count. When I tell you I am truly beyond blessed; and I am forever amazed by God’s love, goodness, mercy, and grace.

I read one of my journal entries from this day ten years ago (September 7, 2014). Where I was then looks and feels nothing like where I am today. Where I am now is where I wanted to be mentally and emotionally then, but didn’t believe it was possible. All I felt was hopelessness. But God!! When I tell you I put my everything in Him and He did the rest.

So yes, I’m sitting here counting my blessings.

Listen, hold on. Life does get better. It might not seem like it when things are dark and you can’t see a way out, but it does get better. It does.
