Had forgotten about the theme I had chosen for this year, “Present and at peace.” Life started happening and my focus shifted from drawing from my inner peace to focusing on things happening around me. And about a good 90 percent of those things were someone else’s problems. My daughter says I internalize other people’s problems. She says it’s okay to empathize with them but their problems are theirs. And she’s absolutely right. I’m listening.
So today, I am once again choosing to stay present – only focusing on what’s in front of me – and at peace. Praying you do likewise. Have a wonderful day!♥️ ~Shaun

We faced a complex situation recently. The only way I could handle it was very literally one day at a time, one task at a time. It was overwhelming at times. I felt myself being a little impatient to just have the situation sorted out. But now…we are 80% there, and finally I feel as we are getting somewhere.

Patience is another thing I have found myself struggling with lately. I have had to constantly remind myself that everything is in God’s hands. No matter how fast I have tried to rush things, nothing has ever happened until I released control and gave it to God.
I am glad you are making progress with your situation. I am sure that seeing even the tiniest bit of progress makes the situation better. Take Care!

Patience is something very special – especially in today’s world. The economy tells us “get it now…pay later”. The internet has sped up consumerism. So to exercise patience in our lives can be a challenge…especially when we want a trial to be over.
When I think of our loving Creator, who has endured slander and rebellion – and yet patiently worked to fulfill his original purpose for mankind and to restore all that Adam spurned. His patience means salvation, joy and peace for us. How He must long to wipe away our tears. If He can patiently endure, I know He can give us the strength we need to be patient.
