Life is beautiful. Forever looking up. It’s the only way to look!
While reading one of my fellow bloggers’ posts—Wynne Leon (Surprised by Joy)—I saw this quote and it spoke to my soul. If you know me, just about everything speaks to my heart, soul, and/or spirit. Smile. Well, I felt this one. For me, it captures the way I feel about peace, joy, love, and freedom. Once you’ve tasted them, you’ll forever want more. It’s where I am in life, today; and I am so loving this space.♥️
Good Morning! Not sure if you realize this but every day you’re changing. You’re not the same person you were a decade ago, a year, not even a month ago. No, you are evolving and growing. You’re becoming that person God created you to be. So, whenever you feel like life is at a standstill or isn’t going as planned, remember where you used to be compared to where you are now. You’re so much stronger and wiser, and it’s beautiful.♥️
Much too often we’re so focused on what we are not receiving from others that we fail to give those things to ourselves. Today, gift yourself what you would like to receive from others.♥️ ~ Shaun
Today is turning out to be one of those days where I am just going with the flow. There’s no rush to do anything. No set schedule. I’m just letting life flow. I’m allowing both goodness and love to flow freely through me, as well as surround me.♥️ ~Shaun
Happy Self-Love Saturday! Make sure you show yourself a little extra love today.
Today is Year51 and two months! Woohoo!!🎉Laughing because unlike last year, I haven’t been keeping up with each milestone month beyond my 51st birthday. However, last year I made it a point to capture each one. Here’s what I shared a year ago while celebrating my Jubilee year.
Facebook/Threads: August 24, 2023
As I stated last year, I owe it to myself to become everything I ever imagined and dream, and I aim to do just that. Although I don’t feel like I am aging—y’all, I actually feel like I’m still 20/21—I do realize I am on the other side of 50. Meaning the next 50+ years I spoke of is possibly a beautiful reach. Knowing this, I plan to seize opportunities (the right ones on this side of 50—discernment on 10—no more wasting unnecessary time on things that don’t align with my purpose or dreams) like they’re my last. No more allowing opportunities to pass by in hopes of them rolling around again. Nah.. on this side I am truly living and taking in every single wonderful opportunity and experience God has for me. You wanna know why? It’s because God loves me and I love me, too.
Yes… I love me.🥰
This is all for now. Praying you have a wonderful weekend. Remember to shower yourself with lots of love.♥️
Hello! So, according to my journal entry from July 30, 2022, I was deeply engaged in a conversation Jay Shetty and Lewis Howes were having on a podcast (will share the podcast if I can find it). It was about love, life, growth and relationships. Y’all, I took so many notes. I also jotted down important questions I needed to answer. One was about what I valued. I even wrote, “Shaun, what do you value?” Well, as I mentioned, their conversation was mainly about relationships/companionship so I answered accordingly. Today, I asked myself the same question but answered based on life in general.
Guess what?! I value YOU!♥️
Aside from my relationship with God, here are a few things I value:
Love, kindness, compassion, respect, optimism, peace, time with family, Me time, and people. Not necessarily in that order, but those are a few.
How about you? What are some things you value?
Shaun
Found the podcast!! Smiling because Lewis is now engaged to his then girlfriend. Love is a beautiful thing.♥️
