Shifting Atmospheres

Good Morning!

I began last year’s journal entry with the following:

“Shaun, your worship and praise shifts atmospheres. You were not meant to blend in. You were called to shift things.” (Shaun’s Journal, August 23, 2023)

I was not meant to blend in but to shift atmospheres.

YOU were not meant to blend in. You were also created to shift atmospheres.

Question – Are you shifting or influencing the atmosphere/spaces around you? If so, is it in a positive or negative way?

I am also asking myself the same. I believe it’s necessary for us to reevaluate our current situations and relationships and our impact in these spaces. If we’re lending to positive outcomes and growth, then we’re doing a good job. If not, then we either need to change what we’re doing (because sometimes it’s us) or remove ourselves from these spaces.

Hope

Peace

Love

Kindness

Prosperity

Growth

These are a few things I strive to bring into every space I enter. If I am not doing so, then it’s time to either make a change—if it’s where I am meant to stay at the moment—or it’s time to leave.

Shifting atmospheres—that was my thought on yesterday. Little did I know I had already written what I am actually created to do. When I tell you God forever amazes me! Especially when I can see Him working in and through me. Again, and always, I am beyond blessed.🥰

That’s all for now. My prayer for you today and this weekend is that you have a positive impact on every space you enter. I pray that it is so great that you are be able to see God working through you in real time.♥️

Love you always,

Shaun

I’m Living! Part 2

Needed to take a break so I decided to write. I was beginning to get frustrated with something I was working on. Then the thought came to me that I am doing exactly what I want to do. Exactly what I enjoy doing. Couldn’t help but smile because it was the truth. Trying not to tear up as I think about just how good God is to me.

By the way—off the topic—the other day when I wrote I have finally found my people, y’all, I have finally found my people! They love life just as much as I do AND they become just as emotional when talking about the beauty of life, love, kindness, and joy. I finally feel understood. We’re not weird, we just feel everything, and it’s okay. It’s absolutely okay.

Anyhoo… Yesterday someone asked me what I did for a living. After I listed a few things she said she could tell I loved what I do. And I do. To me, that’s living! I’m doing what I love. Dancing to the beat of my own drums. And I am finding my tribe. Can’t express it enough, I am truly, truly blessed. I am so very grateful God loves me.♥️

I’m Living!

Good Morning! Five years ago, I asked myself if I was living or just existing. It’s one of my favorite lines from my fav’s movie, “The Family That Preys.” Back then, I had to really think about it. Honestly, I couldn’t fully say that I was. Well, today, that answer is “Baby, yes! I am definitely living!” As I have said so many times before, I am absolutely loving this side of 50! Y’all, it’s the best!♥️ ~Shaun

Here’s what else I found among my memories, pictures from my first BBD concert. I recently wrote about the tickets I won the day before my birthday in 2014. However, what I didn’t include—which I included in the book I wrote that morning but nixed at the last minute—was that I actually saw them in concert five years before and I spoke to Michael Bivins. And guess what?! He spoke back!!! AHHHHHH!!!😂😂😂😂😂 Y’all, I absolutely love my life!

I screenshot it so the date would remain.☺️ Isn’t it cool!!

The Turtle

Hello!! I know. I forgot to speak earlier. Hope your day is going well so far. Mine is going pretty good.

This morning I came across the Facebook memory below. I remember that day quite well. I was so antsy and anxious that I couldn’t sit still so I decided to go for a walk. And while on my walk, this little fellow crossed my path. Didn’t think much of it at the time, just that it was a beautiful creature God had blessed me to see. You know, one of His little gifts placed there just to brighten my day. Smile.

That was eight years ago. Well, today, after seeing the picture, I found myself wondering if there was a symbolic meaning for the turtle. You know, there seems to be a symbolic meaning for everything. So, I had to see. Well, according to AI and other sources, turtles represent longevity and stability. Some sites mention patience and wisdom.

Anyhoo… now I know.😊♥️
