Respect Peace

Facebook Memory: April 11, 2022

Your time and peace are valuable. Protect both by making sure others respect them. Not only is this an act of self-care, but self-preservation.

Peace is everything. My life has never been very chaotic because, for most part, I played along to get along. Never one to really rock the boat. I was the one who would “take one for the team.” Yeah, I would let everything fall on me. I always felt like I was strong enough to take whatever I was faced with and more. Yes, I thought I was superwoman and everyone’s mama. Guess that’s the nurturer in me. Then, one day I stopped. I stopped taking on everyone else’s issues. When I did, I discovered this thing called peace. Instead of keeping the peace, I was experiencing peace. Believe me, there’s a difference.

A few years ago, I found myself in a situation where I was trying to play the peacekeeper. Well, the only thing that happened was I became miserable and the mess got even worse. So, what did I do? I removed myself from the entire situation. Severed all ties. Y’all, when I tell you I felt like a new person! Now, anyone or anything that enters my life has to respect my peace.

Here’s my two cents. If it disturbs your peace, let it go! I don’t care whether it’s a job (been there, ain’t doing it again), a relationship (done that too, never again), or your own thoughts (rebuke them!!!)—let them go! They are not worth holding on to. Your peace matters. Your health matters! Don’t you know stress kills…literally! Let it/them go and live in peace. Love you!♥️

Never Give Up On Your Dreams

How many dreams have you given up on in your lifetime because they just seem unrealistic, unobtainable, or your time has passed? I don’t know about you, but I have given up on many dreams—too many. Mostly because they had not come the way I imagined they would. They always required work that I was either not prepared to do or didn’t want to do. Yes, dreams take work. Smile. Well, this year, Year50, I had to ask myself if I was going to spend this side of 50 giving up on what I wanted most or go get it. My answer, “Baby, I’m getting everything God has for me!” I am not letting any of the dreams I still have die with me, and I suggest that you don’t either. You cannot afford to let them die. God gave you those dreams, which means you can actually have them if you want them. Now, go get them!♥️ ~Shaun

Don’t give up and never stop believing. You’re closer to your dream than you think.

Remember, you have to work for it!

Embrace Who You Are

One of my first graphics. LJB2019

As you can see, I have been creating my own graphics for a while now. Seeing how far I have come makes me smile. I smile because I found something that I really enjoy doing. I smile because I did not stop because my graphics did not look like everyone else’s. For some reason I wanted mine to be just as unique as me. Lastly, I smile because I cannot wait to see what it evolves into. What was once LJB2019 became LJBSmiles, Shaun’s Smile, LaShaundrea, LaShaundreaB, and now Shaun’s Daily Inspiration. I believe Shaun’s Daily Inspiration is the one I am going to stick with.

Here is what I wrote on the day that I created the graphic.

Facebook Memory: April 8, 2019

Good Morning! This morning I decided to create my own social media find.😉 We’re all different. We are like pieces of a puzzle. Our unique gift/talent is needed to complete the puzzle. So don’t sleep on your gift because it’s needed. Always remember, YOU matter. You have a purpose.

My gifts and talents are definitely unique to me and provide something only I can. This is me fitting perfectly in the space God designed just for me.

Embracing who God designed me to be and evolving.

Wishing you a wonderful week! Don’t let too much stress you out. If you find yourself becoming overwhelmed, take a break and breathe. You deserve a stress free life.♥️

Love you,

Shaun

God Always Finishes What He Begins

Shaun’s Daily Inspiration: April 5, 2022

Smile. God is still working. Whatever He began, He will finish. Hang in there.

It might take years, but God always finishes what He begins. Unlike us, He does not get tired or give up. Even when we have given up, He continues working. So, do not be discouraged by the wait or setbacks. I believe it is His way of making sure we are prepared to properly accept, handle, walk in, and live in the finished product. We have to be ready for it.

Y’all, I am so grateful God is patient and allows us time to process our fears and doubts. That He overlooks the countless times we self-sabotage opportunities because of our feelings of inadequacy. Yes, I am so grateful that He does not allow our egos to win. I don’t know about yours, but I know my ego can be a bit much at times. Grateful He does not give up on us when we have given up on ourselves.

Grateful and blessed.

Remember, whatever God began—even in your childhood—He will finish.♥️

Love you,

Shaun

What’s Your View On Life?

What’s your overall take on life?

Mine…

Overall, I believe life is beautiful. It has its rough moments, but when I think about it, they have never outweighed the good ones. I have had so many more good times than bad.

Facebook Memory: April 4, 2022

How we view life is merely a reflection of what’s in our hearts and souls.♥️

Y’all, yesterday was my first day in years of feeling like I was in my zone. Like I was where I was meant to be, doing what I do best—spreading love and hope. Never knew how much I missed people, especially the students and my colleagues. I also had the opportunity to connect with a few new people. Can’t wait to collaborate with them on upcoming projects. Y’all, I am so excited about where things are headed!

Side Note: Never allow others or bad moments in life to dim your light. Whenever you feel it going out, change your environment with haste. Do not stick around waiting for things or people to change. The longer you wait, the dimmer your light becomes. Keep it glowing!

Well, this is it for now. Praying you have a wonderful day!♥️

Love you,

Shaun
