Sitting Here Counting My Blessings

I have so many blessings—too numerous to count. When I tell you I am truly beyond blessed; and I am forever amazed by God’s love, goodness, mercy, and grace.

I read one of my journal entries from this day ten years ago (September 7, 2014). Where I was then looks and feels nothing like where I am today. Where I am now is where I wanted to be mentally and emotionally then, but didn’t believe it was possible. All I felt was hopelessness. But God!! When I tell you I put my everything in Him and He did the rest.

So yes, I’m sitting here counting my blessings.

Listen, hold on. Life does get better. It might not seem like it when things are dark and you can’t see a way out, but it does get better. It does.

Been singing the Winans’ song, “Restoration,” off and on since I woke up this morning. Y’all, God is in the process of restoring everything we lost and adding more. How wonderful is that!

Today, I am thanking God for just being God. For loving me unconditionally. For being patient with me time and time again. For giving me life when so many my age have already taken their final breath. For allowing me to restart multiple times without judgement. For continuously nudging me forward and not allowing me to give up. For His revelations, affirmations, and confirmations. For His protection. For peace.

I am blessed. Beyond blessed.♥️

Still Standing

Happy Sunday! This morning I woke up singing “Here I Am” by Marvin Sapp. There were times when I almost gave up. There were times when I did say, “Lord, this is too much.” Yet I survived. Now, here I am, still standing; and standing tall!
