Y’all, this has been one looooooong Friday. Did anyone else’s Friday seem long? Usually, my Fridays are just as short as my Sundays. However, today was really long. Well, I can only hope that my weekend feels just as long as today. Oh…and that it’s lovely. Hopeful.☺️💗 ~Shaun

Here’s today’s social media find. DO NOT GIVE UP! Success does not happen overnight. We refer to some as “overnight” successes, but in reality, they’ve been working on their craft for a while. Think about all of the social media celebrities. Most of us saw them when they first started making videos. They didn’t give up. They practiced their craft until it was so good that others wanted to share it.
If you have an idea or vision, that’s been nagging you for years, do it. Maybe all of the pieces aren’t in place, and you feel like making a move is pointless. Believe me, it’s not! Do something. Work towards it. Just don’t sit idle and one day wish you would have tried. The road to success will not be easy. DON’T GIVE UP! (This isn’t just for you, it’s for me too!☺️)
Do not give up!
Keep going!
Stumble.
Fall.
Get back up.
Keep going.
It will happen.
Sooner than later.

When I scheduled my first post to be shared, I didn’t share any of the other captions I wrote last year. I usually share the same message on multiple pages with a similar or different message. Little did I know I would actually need one of the other messages this morning.
This morning, I received a text that left me in tears, and also with a long overdue matter I should have addressed a long time ago. It was something I had been hesitant to acknowledge or address for fear of an unfavorable outcome. A million scenarios have played over and over in my mind. But this reminder has given me the strength and courage needed to do what I need to do. Here’s the caption I shared last year—

Life is good, and my God is SO AMAZING! No matter how grim things may appear, or how discouraged you may become, know that God is still on the throne and is working behind the scenes. You will SMILE again. You will LAUGH again. You will LOVE again. You will LIVE a long prosperous (in ALL areas of life) life. Stay connected to God. I promise you, He will not fail you.♥️
God is still on the throne and I know He has my back and I am covered. I got this!
Praying you have a fabulous day! Also, no matter how crazy things may seem at the moment, know that this isn’t the end. You will smile, laugh, love, and live again. He’s got you. Just make sure you don’t keep putting off things that you need to deal with. It will not only free you but it could potentially free others. Love you!♥️

When we see or hear messages like the one above, we tend to believe our breakthrough is right around the corner. Well, sometimes that corner is very long, like years long. Just know that eventually your breakthrough will happen. Hold on as long as you can in your power. Then when you can’t hold on any longer, give it to God.
Honestly, I am not necessarily sure what I was waiting for besides my divorce, which happened two years later. I am pretty sure there was so much more by the exclamation marks and dancing emoji I used.
A lot has happened in seven years. I am so grateful for every breakthrough I experienced. They strengthened my relationship with God, and made me who I am today.
I pray that whatever breakthrough you are waiting for happens soon. If it doesn’t, just hold on. Believe me, it will happen.♥️
