Eyeliner

Describe an item you were incredibly attached to as a youth. What became of it?

Funny story! As a teenager, I would not leave the house without eyeliner. I had to wear it everywhere. I was so addicted to it. But who wasn’t in the 80s and early 90s?

So, what became of it?

I joined the Air Force and went to basic training. Once I discovered I could live without eyeliner, I stopped wearing it all the time. Now, 30 plus years later, I only wear it when I put makeup on, which is a few times a month—if that.☺️

Protect Your Peace

Good Morning, again!😊

Y’all, stress kills.

I repeat, stress kills!

My previous post was about making wise choices. Listen, choose to protect your peace. Everyone won’t like your decisions but they’ll be okay. You have a life to live and protect, and you deserve for it to be long, healthy, and prosperous.

Protect your peace.♥️

Love you,

Shaun

Choose Wisely

I guess I can say “Good Morning” because it is after midnight. Just woke up feeling a bit uneasy after having a somewhat disturbing dream. I won’t go into the scenarios because there were several, but the message for all was “Choose wisely.” In each scenario, there was a choice to be made—some big, some small—but all were important and had the potential to negatively impact that person’s life and, in some instances, someone closely connected to the situation.

If you have to make any choices in the near future that could negatively alter your world—could be as small as how you respond to a question (that was one of the scenarios)—choose wisely. Pause and think before responding.

In all of the scenarios in my dream, the person made the right choice. Well, one didn’t but was able to bounce back from their decision before it ruined their life. In that situation, someone close to them made the choice they would have and they saw the consequences of their decision. Talk about a scared straight moment.

Anyhoo…

Let me turn over and go back to sleep. Hopefully my next dream will be peaceful and have me smiling when I wake up.🥰

I pray your dreams are pleasant.♥️

Love you,

Shaun

My Inspiration, Part 2

President Jimmy Carter’s funeral was earlier today. I watched most of it live and snippets of what I missed. It was so beautiful. They honored him well.

A few days ago, I left a message in his virtual condolence book. I wrote about how he’d been my inspiration since elementary school and how I plan to continue his legacy of making this world a kinder and better place for everyone. Maybe one day I’ll share what I wrote.

Below is a video of his grandson Jason’s eulogy. It basically summed up how I saw and felt about President Carter. He was the epitome of love, hope, and overall goodness. He will so be missed.🙏🏽♥️🕊️

Here’s Jason’s eulogy: President Jimmy Carter’s Funeral (PBS News)

Funny Memory

When I tell you my kids, especially my son, know me so well. A few days ago, my daughter was watching the Luther Vandross documentary (if you haven’t seen it yet, you need too, it’s so good!) and was texting me every few minutes because she was so in awe of his talent. I just laughed because I thought she knew. I thought everyone knew how talented and gifted he was. Lol. Anyhoo… seeing this memory makes me smile. Luther Vandross was the man! And whenever I get in a funk, I usually listen to a Luther of JG (Johnny Gill) song.🥰

Yeah… funny memory.

Right now “Never Too Much” is playing in my head; however, it’s not my favorite Luther song.
