And timely!

I’m currently reading Dr. Angelou’s book, “A Song Flung Up To Heaven.” I read it ages ago and recently found it after my mom passed. It was packed away with her things. When I read it the first time, I read it without stopping to soak in her stories. Now that I’m older and in the process of finding my space in this over-50 community and the work that I’m finding myself drawn to, her stories are hitting differently. I see her.

Mother. Daughter. Sister. Friend.

Advocacy. Politics. Equality. Human Rights. Freedom.

Love. Life. Being.

Art.

Music.

Rhythm.

I feel this.

It’s who I am.

Yes…

A phenomenal woman.

That’s me.♥️

One More Find

I was debating whether to share another find or not, but hey, why not?! Especially since I’m drawing/creating my background for tomorrow’s quote/message.

Three years ago, I started my drawing journey, or Shaun’s Smile. At first, I tried drawing faces and profile pictures. As you’ll see, those didn’t turn out well, so I finally focused on flowers.

Here’s where it started.

My drawings in 2023 were hit and miss, but better. Today, I believe they‘ve greatly improved. I’m satisfied with the progress I’m making. I know it’ll get better with time.♥️

God Chose You: Chosen (Designs)

For a few years I shared the same message—“God chose you.” Last year, I reshared my post from 2023, not realizing I was following the changes in the designs.

Unfortunately, I failed to create a design for last year (2024). However, I did find a version of the message that was created a couple of months later, and I’m also including a version I’ve already created this year. So, I guess you can say this is more about the design than the message, but do make note of the message. Smile

As you can see, my style has changed over the years, and I love it! Hopefully, I won’t forget to create one for next year’s post. Maybe I’ll put it on my calendar.☺️

Anyhow…

Remember, God chose YOU for this specific time and season to do what only YOU can do. YOU are His chosen vessel.♥️
