Feeling Nervous

It’s been a pretty long day, and I imagine tonight will feel even longer. This morning I voted for my uncle in our state’s general election. In a little over an hour, the polls will close and the results will start pouring in. It’s one thing to watch the results come in for people you don’t know but another for someone you actually know. It’s both exciting and nerve-racking. I can only imagine what he must be feeling at this moment.

My grandma and mom would be so proud of my uncle. At least my mom had a chance to support his decision to run for office before she passed.🙏🏽

By the way, this is his Year50 also. Our birthdays are only 11 days apart and I’m the oldest. Gotta love life. What a year!

TOMORROW is Midterm Election Day in the U.S. If you haven’t already voted, PLEASE use your power and VOTE. Tomorrow, I’m voting for candidates who care about the well-being and future of ALL Americans. The ones who understand diversity and equity are a must, not options. We need people in office who are empathetic, compassionate, kind, tolerant and willing to work together for the greater cause – Humanity.
