Patience

Patience: the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.

Hmmm… I’m pretty patient. How about you?

Over the years, I have learned that it’s better to wait on God than to step out on my own. Believe me, it only took me a few times of “doing me” to realize God’s way and timing are always best.

Here’s what I shared five years ago.

Facebook Memory: April 10, 2019

Happy Hump Day! Here’s today’s social media find. Patience. Be patient. Your day is coming. Your breakthrough is right around the corner. Sound familiar? Sometimes I feel like I’ve been patient long enough. Like I’ve had that good attitude forever, and the results are no where in sight. Real talk.💯 Honestly, it’s hard to stay positive all of the time. However, today I commit to remaining positive no matter what things look like. I know God is working. Yes, God is working.☺️

When I tell you God always sends the right message at the right time. Several blogs ago, I wrote about my first time experiencing anger, which was after my ex refused to sign the divorce papers. Well, it was during that time—probably at the height of my anger (after four years of patiently waiting)—that I happened to see Women Of History’s tweet (in the image above).

After sharing their tweet, I did exactly what was suggested, I carried on with a positive attitude. I put the pain of the wait behind me and started living. Then, one day when I least expected it, I received a call from my lawyer telling me the papers had been signed. Hallelujah!

Y’all, it’s true, it’s always darkest before dawn. If you have been waiting years for something to happen, do not give up. Completely surrender it to God and live. Believe me, once you release it to God, the wait won’t even bother you.

Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday. Bad weather is forecasted for the entire day, here. Praying the damage is minimal and there are no fatalities.

Be Blessed ♥️

Never Give Up On Your Dreams

How many dreams have you given up on in your lifetime because they just seem unrealistic, unobtainable, or your time has passed? I don’t know about you, but I have given up on many dreams—too many. Mostly because they had not come the way I imagined they would. They always required work that I was either not prepared to do or didn’t want to do. Yes, dreams take work. Smile. Well, this year, Year50, I had to ask myself if I was going to spend this side of 50 giving up on what I wanted most or go get it. My answer, “Baby, I’m getting everything God has for me!” I am not letting any of the dreams I still have die with me, and I suggest that you don’t either. You cannot afford to let them die. God gave you those dreams, which means you can actually have them if you want them. Now, go get them!♥️ ~Shaun

Don’t give up and never stop believing. You’re closer to your dream than you think.

Remember, you have to work for it!

Perfectly Imperfect

I rarely check my Facebook memories on my other accounts, but decided to check them just now. Here’s one from my LaShaundreaB account. Trying to hang out on it a little more often.

What would life be like without flaws? I believe our imperfections represent God’s perfection. He never intended for us to be clones or perfect. Today, I encourage you to embrace YOU, the real you, imperfections and all. Believe me, YOU make life exciting!

Just be YOU!♥️

Embrace Who You Are

One of my first graphics. LJB2019

As you can see, I have been creating my own graphics for a while now. Seeing how far I have come makes me smile. I smile because I found something that I really enjoy doing. I smile because I did not stop because my graphics did not look like everyone else’s. For some reason I wanted mine to be just as unique as me. Lastly, I smile because I cannot wait to see what it evolves into. What was once LJB2019 became LJBSmiles, Shaun’s Smile, LaShaundrea, LaShaundreaB, and now Shaun’s Daily Inspiration. I believe Shaun’s Daily Inspiration is the one I am going to stick with.

Here is what I wrote on the day that I created the graphic.

Good Morning! This morning I decided to create my own social media find.😉 We’re all different. We are like pieces of a puzzle. Our unique gift/talent is needed to complete the puzzle. So don’t sleep on your gift because it’s needed. Always remember, YOU matter. You have a purpose.

My gifts and talents are definitely unique to me and provide something only I can. This is me fitting perfectly in the space God designed just for me.

Embracing who God designed me to be and evolving.

Wishing you a wonderful week! Don’t let too much stress you out. If you find yourself becoming overwhelmed, take a break and breathe. You deserve a stress free life.♥️

Love you,

Shaun

You Are Priceless

Here’s a caption I wrote on April 7, 2019 when I shared Goldcast’s post of Jeremy Anderson’s video, “Do You Know Your Worth?”.

No matter what happens to you, or how worthless you may feel at times, know that your life has value. You’re here for a reason. God, not man, determines your worth, and to Him, you’re priceless.

Your presence matters. Never doubt your worth. Love you!♥️

Hello Sunday

Facebook Memory: April 7, 2022

It’s interesting that I shared this post four years ago while attending the same conference I’m at today. Ironically, this message is more relevant today than it was then. God has a way of bringing things full circle, even messages.

I originally shared this photo on April 7, 2018.

At the time of the original share, I was in the process of rebuilding trust—in myself, in those around me, and in my ability to achieve my goals and dreams. I honestly thought it would be easy. Little did I know it would take several years and cycles of reflecting, regrouping, refocusing and rebuilding, to get to where I am today.

Today, I trust myself. I trust myself to make wiser choices. I trust myself to take care of Shaun. Yes, I finally realize I matter, too. Don’t know why it took me so long to accept this fact. Guess I owe it all to Year50.

I also have a good group of people around me who I trust; who I know have my best interests at heart. God has been weeding people out while strengthening my current relationships. My circle is getting smaller but growing stronger.

As far as me trusting in my ability to accomplish my goals and dreams, I am there. I know I can. A few blogs ago, I wrote about my confidence being restored. Well, I owe that to actually trusting myself to do what I set out to do. Things have always been moving in the right direction; however, my confidence and trust and belief in myself had to catch up. Took a minute—a long minute to rebuild this one—but it’s all back! Grateful

This is it for now. Wishing you a restful Sunday.♥️

Take Care,

Shaun

To God Be The Glory

Had a very long day today. Went to visit my sister and spent the majority of the afternoon at a nature and wildlife museum and the park. When I tell you those babies can play for hours. Lol. Got home around 8 PM. As soon as I sat down I fell asleep. Baby they wore me out! Just woke up thinking it was at least 4:00 AM and it’s barely midnight here. Not sure what I had dreamed about but I woke up singing “To God Be The Glory” so it must have been a good dream. Smiling

Y’all have a blessed night. About to get ready for bed and go back to sleep. Talk to you in a few hours!

Good Night♥️
