Remain Hopeful

Y’all, there is so much going on in the world. So much hate, chaos and negativity. Lately, I have been wondering if I really want to still be here in 50 years. What would that look like? Would I be a survivor of some disaster? It’s a lot to think about.

However, with that being said, I cannot allow what’s happening in the world make me lose hope or faith in God. I know He is still in control and His love is everlasting. Better days are ahead. Better months, years, decades and centuries are ahead. I cannot give up hope. WE must not give up hope.🙏🏽♥️ ~Shaun

We must keep hope alive. We must make sure it’s seen and felt in every thing we do and through every contact we make. We cannot afford to let hope die.

Hey Y’all

Guess what day it is?! It’s Mea Culpa Day! Yes, Tyler Perry’s new Netflix movie, Mea Culpa, is finally out!! So, you already know what’s at the top of my list of things to watch. Smiling

Listen, when I tell you my Facebook memories never disappoint! Y’all, they are always timely! Always!!

I just love how this was the first memory that popped up. Now, here we are exactly a year later. Love it!!

I don’t know about y’all, but this has inspired me to write a few things down just to see them manifested a year from now. I mean to the date!! It’s almost creepy how the news about Tyler Perry’s movie was shared on this exact date a year ago, and today the world is watching it. Just…Wow!! Intrigued and amazed. He is really good at what he does! For real!!

Okay, that’s all for now. If you’re looking for a good thriller sexy thriller to watch, I would like to recommend Mea Culpa since I’ll also be watching it. Everybody keeps talking about some paint scene that’s “really good.” Well, since I am an aspiring artist, I can’t wait to see it! Smile

Wishing you a fabulous day!♥️

Love you,

Shaun

I’m A 70’s Baby…

I’m a 70’s baby, of course I love LOVE. Smile

Listen, love is everything. It has always been the center of my world, even as a little girl. My first introduction to love wasn’t through Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty, but through the soulful voices of male RnB singers. When I was a little girl, my mom would leave the radio playing all night long. We fell asleep and woke up to music (maybe that’s why I always have a song playing in my head). Music and love were my life.

When I shared the image I shared in my previous post on Instagram and Facebook, I added one of my favorite love songs from the 70s, Teddy Pendergrass’ “When Somebody Loves You Back.” Enjoy!♥️ ~Shaun

Hmm… Is This True?

Do you believe we attract what we are ready for?

Here’s what I wrote two years ago.

Facebook Memory: February 21, 2022

I believe the following quote to be true. Whether it’s opportunities or relationships, we will always attract what we’re ready for. Now, how we handle those opportunities and relationships is solely up to us. The choice is ours.

I still believe it to be true. We do attract what we are ready for. However, I think the most important part of what I wrote was, “How we handle those opportunities and relationships is solely up to us. The choice is ours.”

Oh the freedom of choice! My prayer for this side of 50 is that I make wiser choices when opportunities present themselves. I am determined to live the next 50 years differently.🙏🏽

Grief

Grief is a tricky thing. It seems to pop up out of nowhere and when you least expect it. My mom’s birthday is tomorrow. She would’ve been 66 years old. Seems like the closer it’s gotten to her day, the busier I have tried to become. Been trying to surround myself with positive and uplifting energy. However, when things become quiet, as they are now, it hits me. So what do I do? I go searching for another uplifting fix.

Well, I thought I had found another one. Decided to watch a video by Pastor Touré Roberts thinking it was about entrepreneurship. Little did I know it was about dealing with grief. Not just grief due to death, but unresolved grief from other situations and circumstances—his was from childhood.

I’m sharing his video with you because maybe it holds the answer you have been searching for on how to handle grief. Like Pastor Touré, I don’t like feeling vulnerable or sad. Besides when my brother died, I had always been able to somewhat control grief. I knew how to block it. It’s what got me through some difficult situations. I didn’t have time to grieve or feel sorry for myself. Didn’t want to. However, after watching Pastor Touré’s video, I probably should have grieved a few things. Probably should have gone through the process instead of blocking the pain. Today and tomorrow, I am going to feel what I need to feel. I miss my mom.

Anyhoo… Wishing Pastor Touré well on his journey of processing his grief. Here’s his video:

Living The Life I Imagined

Every time I share this quote, I am reminded that I am living the life I imagined.

Facebook Memory: February 20, 2022

And so, she decided to start living the life she’d always imagined.

Author Unknown

The last time I shared this quote was a little over 2 years ago. Back then I thought I was living the life I had always imagined. Little did I know that was only the beginning. I’m not sure if I’m quite there yet, but it definitely feels like it. That’s what peace will do for you. God is good.

Are you living the life you’ve always imagined—spiritually, emotionally and mentally?

Now, here I am two years later (2024), again saying I am living the life I have always imagined. Of course, there is so much more to what I imagined, so many more aspirations and dreams to achieve. However, here and now, and even back then, the life I imagined was about peace and freedom. Basically, the freedom to walk in my truth; create my own path; and embrace my uniqueness. It’s about setting boundaries and creating an environment that fosters peace and love. Therefore, I am living the life I imagined.

I pray you are living the life you have always imagined or getting there. Wishing you a beautiful day. Love you always!♥️
