My wish is for you to experience a lifetime of unconditional love, peace, prosperity and joy. May God continue to shine His glory on your life. Love you.♥️ ~Shaun
“Today is Monday, August 22. What I’m wishing for myself today is the same thing I am wishing for you – a lifetime of love, peace and prosperity. Be blessed.♥️ ~ Shaun”
Needed to take a break so I decided to write. I was beginning to get frustrated with something I was working on. Then the thought came to me that I am doing exactly what I want to do. Exactly what I enjoy doing. Couldn’t help but smile because it was the truth. Trying not to tear up as I think about just how good God is to me.
By the way—off the topic—the other day when I wrote I have finally found my people, y’all, I have finally found my people! They love life just as much as I do AND they become just as emotional when talking about the beauty of life, love, kindness, and joy. I finally feel understood. We’re not weird, we just feel everything, and it’s okay. It’s absolutely okay.
Anyhoo… Yesterday someone asked me what I did for a living. After I listed a few things she said she could tell I loved what I do. And I do. To me, that’s living! I’m doing what I love. Dancing to the beat of my own drums. And I am finding my tribe. Can’t express it enough, I am truly, truly blessed. I am so very grateful God loves me.♥️
Good Morning! Five years ago, I asked myself if I was living or just existing. It’s one of my favorite lines from my fav’s movie, “The Family That Preys.” Back then, I had to really think about it. Honestly, I couldn’t fully say that I was. Well, today, that answer is “Baby, yes! I am definitely living!” As I have said so many times before, I am absolutely loving this side of 50! Y’all, it’s the best!♥️ ~Shaun
Here’s what else I found among my memories, pictures from my first BBD concert. I recently wrote about the tickets I won the day before my birthday in 2014. However, what I didn’t include—which I included in the book I wrote that morning but nixed at the last minute—was that I actually saw them in concert five years before and I spoke to Michael Bivins. And guess what?! He spoke back!!! AHHHHHH!!!😂😂😂😂😂 Y’all, I absolutely love my life!
I screenshot it so the date would remain.☺️ Isn’t it cool!!
Hello!! I know. I forgot to speak earlier. Hope your day is going well so far. Mine is going pretty good.
This morning I came across the Facebook memory below. I remember that day quite well. I was so antsy and anxious that I couldn’t sit still so I decided to go for a walk. And while on my walk, this little fellow crossed my path. Didn’t think much of it at the time, just that it was a beautiful creature God had blessed me to see. You know, one of His little gifts placed there just to brighten my day. Smile.
That was eight years ago. Well, today, after seeing the picture, I found myself wondering if there was a symbolic meaning for the turtle. You know, there seems to be a symbolic meaning for everything. So, I had to see. Well, according to AI and other sources, turtles represent longevity and stability. Some sites mention patience and wisdom.
I’ve seen so many genuine smiles this week (I know, it’s only Tuesday). I have also felt so much love and joy. This is a happy week. Wish we could reside here forever.
Nothing or no one can stop God’s amazing plan for your life. Pleaseremember this—especially when everything seems to be falling apart or not happening in your favor. Know that God has not forgotten you. He’s forever working behind the scenes. Believe me, everything willhappen when it’s time and better than you imagined. Trust Him…or, as Rev. Jesse Jackson would say, “Keep hope alive!” Y’all, he looked so good and well at the Democratic National Convention. When I tell you my heart is still overflowing this morning. Whew!
Had to stop and make yesterday’s quote the wallpaper for my phone. Every time I look at my phone I will be reminded of who I am and Whose I am. I am God’s child ALL day long!🥰
Same for you. Remember who you are and Whose you are. You are God’s child. Own your position!♥️
Good Morning! I have two Facebook memories to share. Couldn’t decide which I wanted to share most so I decided to share both. They were both shared six years ago, and from the order of my memories, I shared this one first.
Facebook Memory: August 19, 2018
“Today’s social media find! If you dream it, you can have it. Oftentimes it’s not other people. It’s our own self-doubt that holds us back. Whenever doubt tries to step in, shut it DOWN! Let doubt know you’ve got this!”
I used the hashtags #NeverGiveUp and #StayFocused (Photo Credit: Unknown)
Then, the next post I shared, which was probably much later that day, was about a dream that didn’t come to fruition. Here’s what I shared.

Kofi Annan’s death hit me like Colin Powell’s did, very hard. They were two icons I really wanted to meet. Like, there are people you want to meet and there are people you need to meet. I felt as if I needed to meet them both and somehow missed the opportunity. Maybe our souls met lifetimes before that’s why I felt the need so strongly. Anyhoo… Even though I didn’t get to meet them, I did meet Leah Chase, who was at the top of my list of people to meet. My heart still smiles when I think of our brief encounter. So, dreams do come true. Maybe not all but the ones that are meant to, do. Smile
That’s all for now. Wishing you a lovely day and spectacular week!♥️
