I am so very thankful for unexpected gifts. You know, the kind you receive when you’re going about your day, doing what you usually do, then…BAM! it’s there. Taking nothing for granted. I am truly blessed.♥️ ~Shaun

My life. My world. Love, hope, peace, joy & happiness.

Seasons change. Sometimes for the better; sometimes for the worse. Either way, God always remains the same. No matter the season, stay rooted and grounded in God.♥️ ~Shaun

Long before I decided on a name, I had already been sharing inspirational quotes and posts on different platforms. It wasn’t until I created the Facebook page that Shaun’s Daily Inspiration was birthed.
Here is what I shared on that day.

I believe I have found my purpose in life and that’s to inspire others through my quotes and blogs.

Recently, a former student left a comment on a post not associated with my quotes that said, “Ms. Bradford is an inspiration.” Y’all, I was in tears. It was so unexpected. It’s comments like hers that confirm I am on the right path; that I am doing what I am meant to do; that I am following my purpose. God is good.
That’s all for now. Have a wonderful day!♥️

I write a lot about my favorite show, Tyler Perry’s Sistas, but rarely write about my other favorite, Tyler Perry’s The Oval. The Oval is a fast–paced, nighttime soap opera about a dysfunctional first family and the people who serve them—from the kitchen staff to security, and their family members. It’s full of drama, deception, and plot twists. You know, great soap opera stuff. The kind of stuff that had us…okay, me…skipping school to attend watch Nikki and Greg’s wedding on The Young & the Restless—I was like 6 or 7 intentionally missing the bus; or listening to our grands’ phone calls discussing how Erica Kane trapped her latest victim (man😁) with her cunning ways. Y’all, I can’t lie, those were the good old days. Anyhoo…today, The Oval is my soap opera.
Well, tonight, the 100th episode of The Oval aired. Until last week, I had no clue they were so close to reaching this milestone. I was so excited for them. Y’all, just like the cast of Sistas, they worked their butts off to get to this point. Tonight, I watched some of the cast members on Instagram Live before the episode aired, and they were so happy, so grateful, and so proud to be part of the show. One thing they all agreed on—which I have heard over the years from current and former cast members of Tyler Perry’s shows—once they joined the show, they became more than castmates, they became family. Y’all already know that melted my heart. Tears
Congratulations to the cast, the crew, and everyone connected to making this show possible, and of course, Mr. Tyler Perry. Y’all, he gets it! He’s creating families.♥️
Listen, if you are looking for a good nighttime soap opera to watch, check out Tyler Perry’s The Oval on BET (Black Entertainment Television) on Tuesday evenings. You won’t be disappointed!
Good Night♥️

A fellow blogger, Understand546, wrote about his open mic experience (My Open Mic Experience) that happened on June 24, 2018, my 45th birthday. I just had to see what I had written on that date and here it is. Enjoy!

Forever grateful for those who poured into my life. I would not be who I am today without them, without you.♥️

It’s YOUR DREAM! Be careful not to water down your dreams to fit someone else’s narrative or beliefs. It’s not about them. They have their own dreams. It’s about YOU. I wholeheartedly believe, if God gave you the dream, you can have it.♥️

Today, I can hear Yolanda Adams singing, Never Give Up. Can’t you? Smile
Listen, no matter how many stumbling blocks you encounter, keep going, keep believing, it will happen.
Be Blessed!♥️

Last year, December 11th fell on a Sunday. Below is the post I shared. Today, it is a great reminder that God places people and resources within our reach to assist us with our needs. Y’all, God does not want us to fail. He wants us to succeed and be prosperous. Let’s push aside our pride, utilize every God-given resource, and excel. Listen, I am claiming this for all of us, 2024 will be different because we are going to intentionally make it different. Let’s swim!♥️ ~Shaun
The two messages below were not shared together before; however, it seems so fitting to share them together today. They actually compliment each other. The first one completes the second’s message.

Remain hopeful. Good things are headed your way.♥️

The message: Remain hopeful. God will never ask you to give up something without having a better plan and/or replacement in place. Be patient. Everything will happen at the right time—God’s time. Until then, continue being obedient and following God’s lead. Before you know it, everything will be replaced with more than you could have ever imagined. Hang in there!
Love you!♥️

Woke up in the middle of the night because it was storming. I could hear the rain pouring down and the wind blowing. We had had tornadoes and tennis ball sized hail reported in different areas of our state so I knew it was probably bad outside. Instead of getting up and looking out the window or looking at the weather app, as I would typically do, I rolled over and went back to sleep. Said I would worry about the weather if or when the weather alerts and sirens sounded—which never happened. Right now it’s very calm out. The storm has passed and there is no more rain in the forecast.
I believe my experience is an example of how things should play out when we encounter storms in our lives. We should not worry or panic but give them to God. Then, we should rest in Him knowing He has us covered.
Right now, Greg O’Quin ‘n Joyful Noyze’s song, I Told the Storm, is playing over and over in my head. Here is a snippet of it:
Even though your winds blow
I want you to know
You cause me no alarm
‘Cause I’m safe in His arms
Even though your rain falls
I can still make this call
Let there be peace
Now I can say go away
I command you to move today
Because of faith
I have a brand new day
The sun will shine
And I will be okay
That’s what I told the storm
I told the storm (told the storm, storm, storm, oh yes I did)
To pass (ohh ohhhh)
Storm you can’t last (you’ve got to go, yeah)
Go (go away) away (I command)
I command you to move today (you to move, ohh yeah)
Storm (oh storm yeah)
When God speaks (when my God speaks)
Storm (you don’t have a choice in the matter)
You have to cease (you have to cease, yes that’s…)
That’s what I told the storm (what I told the storm)
Lyrics: Musixmatch
Y’all, we must speak to our storms and let them know we are covered by THE almighty God. They may toss us around, but they will never destroy us. Amen
I pray you have a wonderfully, blessed week. I will be back later with another post.
Love You Always♥️
