Let God’s Glory Shine Through You

Good Morning☀️ And Happy Friday!

Let God’s glory shine through you and through everything you touch and do. Allow Him to fill you with His presence. Amen

The song of the hour is Earnest Pugh’s song, “Rain On Us.” The song says—

Let your glory fill this place
Let your all-consuming fire, fill this tabernacle
Purify our hearts
Surround us in this place
And breathe new life within us
Send a refreshing glory
Purify our hearts

Rain on us, Breathe on us
Shower down, Shower down
Send your Spirit, Lord

Lyrics: Genius.com

Rain On Us” by Earnest Pugh

Continue to be a beacon of God’s light. Allow Him to use you as He sees fit.

Wishing you a wonderful day and beautiful weekend. May it be filled with lots of love, joy, and happiness.♥️

I love you,

Shaun

My Journey With God, No. 146

My desire is to please God. Period.

Today/yesterday was long and exhausting. So exhausting that I fell asleep before 7:00 PM and missed the VERZUZ battle between singers Donell Jones and Joe. UGH… This was one I was looking forward to. Don’t plan to watch the replay. To me, the battles are only good when watched live.

Now, I’m wide awake!

Been reading past journal entries from this day and began writing a new one before I decided to share my thoughts here. Overall, the main theme from all the entries I’ve read—and not just from this date, but from my life’s journey—has been to please God. To make sure He received the glory in everything I did.

And today, it’s still the same. Nothing has changed.

Before I attempt to go back to sleep (hopefully it won’t take long😊), I just want to thank God for loving me. Many praises to Him just for being God. It’s funny how that “holy-roller” image I tried so hard to get away from in my late 20s seems to be in full effect now, and I truly love it. I’m laughing because the person, or “holy-roller,” I was in my teenage years lived her life based on perfection. I wanted to be the perfect example of Christ. What I didn’t realize, and it took me years to discover, is that God never asked me to be perfect. He just asked me to be myself, to love Him, and to love those around me. And that’s exactly what I intend to continue doing.

Y’all, God is so good. I am truly, truly blessed.♥️

Always Choose Kindness And Love

Good Morning☀️

Today’s post is a gentle reminder to always choose kindness and love—always.

These are not your weaknesses, but your strengths.

Kindness And Love

Y’all, this week has flown by! I can’t believe it’s almost the end of the year. Seems like 2026 just began. I say it all the time, all you have to do is blink and it’s 10-20 years later. Smileor Sigh

Listen, stay present, but also keep moving. Don’t let time get away from you. As I wrote a few days ago about life, time is also precious and should be respected and held dear.

I pray you have a beautifully blessed day!♥️

I love you,

Shaun

Optimism

Good Morning☀️ And happy Wellness Wednesday!

Optimism

Cambridge Dictionary defines optimism as: “the quality of being full of hope and emphasizing the good parts of a situation, or a belief that something good will happen.”

Optimism isn’t a lost cause.

The Best

Optimism is most definitely not a lost cause, and as the late General Colin Powell put it— “perpetual optimism is a force multiplier.”

Listen, your optimism could be the difference between a plain old good day and a FANTABULOUS day!✨

Remain optimistic!♥️

I love you,

Shaun

Life

Y’all, life is so very precious. Be sure to respect it and hold it very dear.

Been thinking of how I had just written about Hayden Panettiere. How I mentioned that seeing her clip gave me the courage to speak on things I had been trying to bury. Now she’s gone.

Whew…

Life.

Respect it.

Enjoy it.

Live!!!

Please LIVE!!!!

Shaun♥️

Happy Tuesday!

I believe this is my first post having a Tuesday title. Will have to check and see. Poor Tuesday… I need to be more intentional about showing this day some love. Smile🥰

Anyhoo… I hope your week has started off well and continues to go well. Here’s the post I shared today on Shaun’s Daily Inspiration

God knows what lies ahead. He knows the uncertainty you will face, the hills you will climb, and peaks of mountains you will see. Allow God to guide.…

Allow God To Guide

Allow God to guide you to where you need to be. You can trust Him—always trust Him.

Wishing you a wonderful day! Remember to be kind to yourself and give yourself grace.♥️

I love you,

Shaun

Song Of The Hour

Woke up with Hezekiah Walker’s song “I Need You To Survive,” playing over and over in my head. The song says—

I pray for you
You pray for me
I love you
I need you to survive
I won’t harm you with words from my mouth
I love you
I need you to survive

It is His will that every need be supplied
You are important to me
I need you to survive

I Need You To Survive” by Hezekiah Walker

Y’all, we’re in this thing called life together. We need each other to survive.♥️

I love you,

Prayers For You

Over the past few months, I’ve been doing so well with sleeping most of the night. I’ve only had a few days where I’ve fallen asleep so early that I wake up in the wee hours of the morning. And when I would, I made sure not to click on any social media apps. Well, today was different. I clicked. And the first thing that greeted me was the news of Hayden Panettiere’s passing.

Y’all, life is so fragile—so delicate.

On this day a year ago, I wrote “Sending Up Prayers.”

Today, I shared “Prayers” under Shaun’s Daily Inspiration. Here’s what I wrote:

“Sending up prayers for all in need. For those suffering in silence. For those on the verge of a breakdown. For those who feel like they can’t make it another second and are hanging on by a thread.

Father God, place them in your loving arms, hold them close, and never let them go. Give them peace and comfort. Let them know that they are loved and they are not alone. Amen

Scripture: Psalm 61:1-2

“Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to You, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than l.”

Song of the Hour:Savior More Than Life” by Kirk Franklin & The Family

Allow God in. Allow Him to comfort you. Allow Him to bring you peace. Let Him hold you and love you. You are not alone.🙏🏽

I’m going to attempt to go back to sleep. Please give whatever’s burdening you to God.

Wishing you a blessed day and week.♥️

I love you,

Shaun

Hello Sunday (289)

Y’all already know what day it is! I have not been blogging much. It is not because I do not have anything to blog about. I am just trying to find a …

Hello Sunday!

Although I’ve attached the link in the quote, I still want to share the post in its entirety. Right now I’m smiling through happy tears because God knows ME so well! He knows exactly what I need and when I need it. This journey of mine has been one wild roller coaster ride. And honestly, I’m not sure if I would have wanted it any other way. I’m not going to lie and say I enjoyed the uncertain and difficult moments; however, the overall experiences were worth it for getting me to where I am today. Here’s what I shared six years ago—

Hello Sunday!” written on August 16, 2020

“Y’all already know what day it is! I have not been blogging much. It is not because I do not have anything to blog about. I am just trying to find a steady rhythm for blogging. Something that is sustainable. Outside of blogging on this site, I also keep a journal, and I am finally beginning to blog again under A Research Diva’s Journey. So yeah, I need to find a rhythm.

Yesterday’s blog, Aimlessly Passing Time, was about losing the passion I used to have for my profession. Y’all, being a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) was life! I mean, all I talked about was assisting people with making healthier lifestyle choices. Over time it became tiresome. Especially when I found myself constantly competing against the newest fad diet, anything Google or Dr. Oz said, or what worked for their best friend’s friend’s friend. Ugh!! Talk about too much!

Then two years ago, things began to change. Honestly, it was before then. Have you ever felt like you were running on a hamster wheel? You know, like the more you ran, or the faster it turned, you never moved? Well, that was how I was beginning to feel. Everything had become too routine. So I decided to go the Public Health route thinking something would rekindle my passion. It did for a while but not as much as I thought it would.

Umm.. Just thinking.. Some of my happiest moments involved nutrition education sessions. Whether I was providing the sessions or training others to do the sessions, I loved the interaction. I thrived off of it! There is something about watching a person’s face light up when they learn something new, or even watching them process the information. I particularly enjoyed educating and interacting with children and young adults. From toddlers to college students, they were all like sponges. They soaked up EVERYTHING and were very inquisitive. Yeah.. that is what I miss.

Anyhoo… I guess my passion is not completely gone. I just need to find ways to continue doing what I love.”

Y’all, God is so good! For several years, I tried changing professions because I had become burnt out as a dietitian. You just don’t know the energy it takes to constantly fight misinformation (even from other healthcare professionals). By the time I resigned from my job—even though I was mostly doing research—my passion for dietetics and nutrition was hanging on by a thread. I only wanted to focus on the culinary side. I wanted to cook, eat, and post pictures of my food. I had no desire to educate anyone who didn’t ask to be educated. I had embraced being a foodie. Someone else could do the rest. So I thought…

A few months ago, I was asked to create a nutrition program for a local clinic, and that’s when everything began to change. I was actually excited to educate again. Since then, I’ve even launched my own program for women—Nutrition with LaShaundreaB’s Let’s Get Healthier Together. Here’s the link to my blog, in case you want to read my posts: Nutrition with LaShaundreaB.

Here’s what I’ve learned or am learning. What I thought was lost—that beautiful passion of mine—never actually left. I just needed the right environment to rekindle it. On Friday, I spoke at a local women business owners’ summit about the importance of preventive care, including the benefits of a healthy diet. As I stated six years ago: “There is something about watching a person’s face light up when they learn something new, or…watching them process the information.” I loved it!

I’ll end this post as I did in 2020—

“I guess my passion is not completely gone. I just need to find ways to continue doing what I love.”

Smiling.

I got my passion back!

Forever grateful that God loves me. I am truly blessed.🥰

I pray you’ve had a lovely weekend thus far. May today be just as lovely.♥️

I love you,

Shaun

My Random Rambling For Today

Good Morning☀️

And Happy Self-Love Saturday!

This morning I woke up feeling a bit different. I woke up with no desire to share my world with the world.

Could this be the end of It’s Shaun’s World?

As the title says, this is my random rambling for today. So, I’m just sharing my thoughts.

You see, over the past several months, so many wonderful experiences and opportunities have happened, but I have only shared a few. I’ve been pretty quiet about everything. Not intentionally. I just don’t feel like sharing everything anymore. I’m okay with the entire universe not knowing what’s happening in Shaun’s World. Yes, the universe because I believe that when I write angels and extraterrestrials read my posts. Laughing. Anyhoo… Lately, I’ve been in the zone of living my experiences rather than writing about them. Perhaps this is my season of silence. OR… this is my season to completely experience every moment.

Y’all, I asked for this side of 50 to be different, and it seems as if each year on this side of 50 has brought out a different version of me. I have no clue what God is doing, but I’m guessing this year—Year53—is my silent season. So, even though I may not say much, know that I’m here, I’m well, and I’m enjoying living in each present moment.

I pray you have a wonderful Self-Love Saturday! Be sure to do something extra special for yourself.♥️

I love you,

Shaun
