When you decide to commit yourself to God, you become His vessel. Meaning, you don’t always know how or when He will use you. All you know is that you were created and chosen for His divine purpose. Knowing this, must be enough. Trust Him. He’s got you, He loves you, and He will never leave you.

Good Morning! Today’s post is a copy of the “Hello Sunday” post I shared three years ago. When I tell you it’s such a timely and reassuring reminder that God chose us before we even knew we existed. He chose and crafted us to fit perfectly into His plan to fulfill His, not necessarily our own, purpose. The reason I say “not necessarily” is because we will always feel out of place or like we don’t quite fit when our purposes don’t align with God’s. Our hearts, minds, and souls will never be at peace or truly content until they begin flowing in the direction they were created to. I’m learning more and more not to resist the flow, but to resist the urge to change who I am to fit in, to stand in who I am. And I must say, the experience has been wonderful! No more anxiety. No more second guessing my worth. I’m just here being who God created me to be. Smiling
So, here’s what I shared in 2021. I hope it blesses you as much as it has blessed me. Always remember who you are (handcrafted and chosen by God) and Whose you are (God’s child, royalty). Love you!♥️ ~Shaun
Hello Sunday: September 19, 2021
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”Jeremiah 1:5
That scripture came from my morning reading. This next part was amongst my Facebook memories from September 19, 2018.
Quote – “God is calling you, equipping you, [and] preparing you according to His purpose.”
And this was my caption in response to the quote:
“I’m so thankful God chose me to fulfill His purpose. Despite my quirkiness, He chose me to carry out this part of His mission. So grateful He loves me as I am. There’s NO love like God’s love!”
Based on everything written above, sounds like God has a lot of work for me to do. The humbling part is, I do not have to change who I am to fulfill His purpose. As the scripture above suggests, God already knew what kind of person I would be even before I was conceived. He knew I would see and do things slightly different from others. He knew that no matter how hard I would try, I would never fit anyone’s mold. “. . . before you were born I set you apart.” Whew!
Y’all, I needed this reassurance. Sometimes I do not feel like I belong in certain spaces, but for some odd reason God keeps placing me in them. From here on, whenever I feel unqualified I must remember – God chose ME!
Same for you. If you ever find yourself in spaces that you feel unqualified to be in, just remember – God chose YOU! You are the ONLY one qualified to fulfill that specific part of His purpose. Yessss, YOU!!!
Listen, always remember who you are and Whose you are, and everything will work out just fine. Enjoy your week!

Went back to read what I had written on my birthday and happened to read what I had written the day before, exactly one year ago. You see, when I shared my first post for today, both quotes were from my Facebook memories. I had decided not to share the captions because I wasn’t really feeling them. Well, little did I remember, I had already shared one of the captions before. Smiling. Here’s what I wrote last year.

#Year50 is TOMORROW!!! It’s not what’s happening on the outside. It’s ALL about what’s happening on the inside. Whew!!!
Y’all already know I was pretty emotional when I wrote this. I am so serious and intentional about this next leg of my journey. God has been too good to me for me to keep suppressing His gifts. He made me like I am for a reason. I am Shaun and there is absolutely no other like me. I am one of one, for real.

In tears. I love me some ME. For real. I am absolutely, without a doubt, one of a kind. Year50 showed me this. There is no one like me. Not at all.
When I tell you I am loving this side of 50!!! I am beyond grateful for the experiences, lessons and blessings of this past year. Never knew I needed them. However, God did! Before this day ends, and I enter another year, I would like to thank God for loving me. For holding my life, heart, and soul in His hands. For His covering and protection. For His mercy and grace. For His gentleness. For showing me, Me. When I tell you I am truly blessed, I mean it.
What a Jubilee Year!!! I made it!!!🎉🎉🎉

You may not feel it, might not even believe it, but you were chosen for a reason and this season. God could have chosen anyone else, but He chose you. You already know what you have been called to do. God did not call anyone else to fulfill your purpose. No, He called you. It’s time for you to step up and walk in your calling.♥️ ~Shaun
Happy Sunday! Over the last few years, I have written about being “chosen” so I am going to continue with the same theme. Here are a few captions from past years:
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I find myself asking God, “Why me?”. His answer is always, “I chose YOU.”
I’m not going to lie, sometimes I have a hard time understanding why my life is as it is. Then I’m reminded that although small, I’m still a piece of God’s beautiful puzzle – uniquely made, will only fit where I’m designed to be, and will noticeably be missed if I don’t show up. It also means He’s confident that I can achieve any task He’s assigned.♥️
Whenever I wonder why God chose me, I’m reminded that He hand picked and uniquely designed me to fulfill a particular purpose that ONLY I can fulfill. I was chosen. Same with you! YOU are the ONLY one who can fulfill your unique purpose. YOU were chosen!♥️
Whew! I do not know about you, but being chosen does not always feel like an honor. Sometimes it feels like a burden.
Now, I know the word “chosen” sounds all glamorous and only applies to a select few. However, that’s not so. You, my friend, were also chosen. Smile. Whether you believe it or not, or wanted to be or not, you were chosen to fulfill God’s plan.
As I mentioned earlier, we are all pieces of God’s beautiful puzzle and here to fulfill a purpose. Although we see ourselves as one dimensional pieces, we are actually one of a kind, multi–dimensional pieces. Every facet of our lives are either fulfilling a purpose or meeting a need that only we can. We are so uniquely made that when we try to fit into other spaces we never quite fit. It’s because it’s not where we were chosen to be.
