Be Obedient

Be obedient. You never know who needs what you have access to.

Yesterday, I texted a friend during Sunday morning service to let her know the message Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts was preaching was about her. I’ve never really spoken to her about anything spiritual before other than saying, “I’m praying for you”, “God’s got you!”; you know, that sort of thing, but nothing more. Well, yesterday I heard as clear as day, you need to send her this message. Even after texting her that morning, I was still second guessing if I should send the link that evening. I had imagined she’d forgotten that I said I would. However, I didn’t wait. I was obedient and sent her the link when it was first available.

A few minutes ago, I opened Facebook and this was the first post on my timeline…

Shift The Weight” by Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts. Listen, this message blessed me too! When I tell you sometimes the weight can be soooo heavy. However, with God, I have to capacity to handle it. Take a listen!

When God tells you to do something, just do it. Again, you don’t know who needs what you have access to.♥️

God First

Good Morning!☀️

Originally shared on October 10, 2022.

The year before I shared the graphic above, I wrote the following caption for another post.

October 10, 2021

“This post is so true. What I’ve learned in the short time that I’ve been working for myself is to keep going. Keep trying new things. Keep networking. Keep learning. Keep taking leaps. And most importantly – KEEP GOD FIRST! Y’all, the ways He’s shown up is mind blowing. Tearing up as I think about it. He’s so good. Yes, definitely keep Him first!”

Keeping God first has been the only way I’ve managed to make it through the tough times (it can get pretty tough) and the good times (remaining humble). Y’all, His guidance is impeccable! You don’t want to move without it. However, it does require unwavering trust and obedience. Don’t worry, He’ll give you assignments along the way to build and strengthen both. Smile

Today, my advice is still the same. First, and most importantly, always keep God first! Y’all, He must remain first. Then, continue learning, creating, networking, and leaping. Eventually, everything will fall into place.♥️

Love you,

Shaun

Timing

Just a friendly reminder. You are not behind. No, you’re right where you should be at this moment in time. Remember, everything happens according to God’s timing, not ours.

While waiting, your/our (yes, myself included☺️) job is to continue following God’s instructions and guidance until whatever we dreamed comes to fruition. And you know those instructions I’m referring to. Yeah…the ones you keep putting off like God doesn’t see you. Smile. Well, follow those instructions first, and everything else will fall into place. Before you know it, you’ll be standing in your dream.♥️

Just Be Obedient

When I tell you God just checked me! Laughing. I heard to do something, something that made me somewhat uncomfortable. Basically, it was out of the norm. Well, as I often do when God asks me to do something that shakes my comfort level, I started second guessing if I heard correctly. Then, I wanted to know the outcome. “What would happen if I did it?” “What would happen if I didn’t?” Also, “Why?” Why did I need to do it? That’s when I was hit with the, “Because I said so.” HA!!

Me: “Okay, I hear You, God.” DONE!

Listen, if you consider yourself a vessel of God and claim He can use you as He pleases, get ready to have uncomfortable moments. From my experience, the moments are never detrimental, they’re just uncomfortable. You can do it. My advice, release control—yes, it’s a control thing—and be obedient. God knows the outcome, and He’s the only one who needs to know.♥️

Love you,

Allow God To Lead

Lately, I have been intentionally pausing to ask God for guidance on matters that I have my mind dead set on. Yes…sometimes I have my own plan(s) in mind that don’t always align with God’s. Smile. From experience, I have learned that taking a moment to pause and seek God’s guidance helps me avoid problems and setbacks. Also, life tends to flow more smoothly when I allow Him to lead.🥰♥️ ~Shaun

How are you doing with allowing God to lead?
