Dimensions

I know many of you may question some of the things I post about my interactions with God. How He reveals and confirms things. But y’all, it’s so real. He gives me exactly what I need when I need it. Now, Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts preached this message months ago. I watched it live. However, the message didn’t hit the same then as it is hitting today. Today, it’s right on time. And yes, it just happened to be the first video on my feed so I clicked it. Needed it!

So, I’m just going to sit it right here. It may or may not be something you need to hear.

Grateful

Hezekiah Walker’s song, “Grateful,” says:

I am grateful for the things that you have done. Yes, I’m grateful for the victories we’ve won. I could go on and on and on about your works. Because I’m grateful, grateful, so grateful just to praise you Lord. Flowing from my heart are the issues of my heart, it’s gratefulness.

Gratefulness is flowing from my heart.♥️

Dreams

Just woke up from another disturbing dream. Not going to call it a nightmare this time; however, it was definitely disturbing.

I am a dreamer. Have always been one. Now, I will admit that most of my dreams are kind of weird and be all over the place, but they are rarely concerning. In my lifetime (since childhood), only a few dreams have been disturbing/concerning, and the majority of those dreams have already come to pass. Yes, I dreamt about things before they happened. Now, the dreams that used to come every so often are happening more frequently. When I tell you these dreams have had me praying more. Whew!!

Short story:

A few days ago, I witnessed a dream I had several years ago (2018) come to pass. The crazy part is, a few days before the dream came to pass, I shared it with my daughter. Had come across it while reading past journal entries. We laughed and joked about it thinking, ain’t no way that would ever happen. Well… it happened.

When I tell you that dream had my daughter and I shook! Had me feeling like I was in some crazy movie. Had I not written it down or shared it with her, I swear no one would’ve ever believed me.

I’m going to try to go back to sleep. Praying my dreams are more pleasant, or I don’t dream at all. Praying God covers and protects us against everything that is trying to destroy us. No weapon formed against us will prosper. Amen

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness isfrom Me,”
Says the Lord.

Isaiah 54:17 NKJV

Stay safe, covered, and prayed up. Love you!♥️

Commissioned

Here’s the current song that’s playing in my head that I can’t seem to shake. Commissioned really need to do another tour. I missed the last one. I vaguely remember them doing something during the pandemic. Not sure if I watched it or not. Probably should have done a Verzuz with the Winans. Anyhoo… we need a Commissioned and Winans revival, soon!

Who Do Men Say I Am

Side Note: I’m taking a break from social media (my main ones—IG, Facebook and X) so y’all, YouTube and TikTok are it! I know…traded three for three. Lol.

Seriously, I am trying hard to wean myself off the others. Too many black holes, not rabbit holes, to get sucked into. We shall see how long I can stay away. Hopefully a while. Just needed to cleanse my mind. I promise not to post too many random thoughts here. Smile

Reminder

You are bigger than the box they try to fit you in. You know your assignment, your purpose, your calling; stick with it.♥️ ~Shaun

Sometimes it’s not others placing us in a box. It’s us doing it to ourselves. It’s time to destroy that box.

The Last Three Weeks

The last three weeks have been mentally and physically exhausting. Like, for real. On most days, I know I was on autopilot—operating without even thinking, doing what I have been programmed to do since childhood (take charge). At least, that’s how it felt. Here’s an overview of what happened:

My sister had a healthy baby boy. Both left the hospital healthy (so we thought). Two days later, she was in the ER diagnosed with postpartum heart failure, then sent home to follow up with a cardiologist. Two days after that, the baby had jaundice.

Before my sister could follow up with the cardiologist, she was back in the ER. This time they consulted with her OB doctor and was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia. Which was more accurate. She stayed in the hospital a few days and was released after her vitals and bloodwork were back to normal.

That was my first hospital stay since my mom passed.

While all of this was happening with my sister, my stepmom was having health issues, which were getting worse. She was sick while my sister was in the hospital, but I couldn’t be with both. Had to decide which needed me the most. It was a lot.

Well, last week…last Wednesday to be exact, my stepmom had to have emergency surgery. I stayed with her from Wednesday until Sunday. She was discharged yesterday, but she still isn’t well. It will probably be several weeks before she’s moving around again.

So, that was my last two to three weeks. Oh… and I was still working during all of this. So very thankful for remote work and the ability to make my own schedule. These are truly luxuries that are often taken for granted. Even being single with grown children is a privilege; however, it is also taxing at times. As my daughter advised me, before I jump up and do anything else, I need to be still and take care of myself, first. And I am doing exactly that.

That’s all I have for you today. Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday.

Be Blessed♥️

Words Are Powerful

Facebook Memory: March 19, 2021

Words are powerful. They can either build or destroy. How are you using your words? Are you speaking life or death?

Same question today—how are you using your words? Are you speaking life or death? Are you building or destroying?

Be mindful of what you speak, especially when it comes to speaking about others. Be the person who builds relationships not destroy them. Be the one who speaks life, love, peace, and prosperity over others. I believe whatever we speak, whether over ourselves or others, we receive. Again, be mindful of what you speak. Words are very powerful.

Praying you have a wonderful day!♥️

Love you,

Shaun

Why I Write What I Write

I used to wonder why there were so many gospel songs about getting through hard times. Seemed like no one was ever on the other side. Someone was always going through something trying to get to better. Well, this morning it dawned on me—after posting one of thousands of the same “Lord, please help us through the struggle” posts—that so many are actually going through something and need encouragement or motivation to make it through. They need hope.

Side note: I was pretty annoyed with myself after my last blog. Just being honest. I was like, “Girl, no more struggle posts. People are tired of reading them.” Then, I was reminded that there are people who are actually going through some pretty rough times right now and are on the verge of giving up. They need a little bit of hope to continue on. Hope is what has gotten us this far, and it’s hope that will keep us going. Amen

Gotta keep hope alive.♥️

Do Not Throw In The Towel

Facebook Memory: March 18, 2023

Hold on. God is working. He’s already set things in motion. Listen, you cannot afford to give up now.♥️

It’s true, you cannot afford to give up. Your purpose is much too great.

My friend, push through; pray through; but whatever you do, please do not throw in the towel. Do not settle for where you are, thinking this is it, this is how life is meant to be. Nope! God has many more years of blessings planned for your life. Just hold on a little while longer. I promise you, God is working everything out. You will get through this.♥️

Love you,

Shaun
