Guess what?! Tomorrow is my birthday month!!!! Listen, I don’t care how old I get, I love celebrating my birthday! Just saying the word birthday makes me feel like I’m a kid again. Smiling. Looking forward to ending my jubilee year on 10 and bringing in Year51 on 100!! Y’all, I am already hyped and I have absolutely no idea what I’m going to do. Probably nothing. However, it’s always the excitement leading up to my birthday that’s the true gift. If I happen to actually do something spectacular, then it will be the icing—real buttercream icing—on the cake. Blessed

I’m A 70’s Baby…

I’m a 70’s baby, of course I love LOVE. Smile

Listen, love is everything. It has always been the center of my world, even as a little girl. My first introduction to love wasn’t through Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty, but through the soulful voices of male RnB singers. When I was a little girl, my mom would leave the radio playing all night long. We fell asleep and woke up to music (maybe that’s why I always have a song playing in my head). Music and love were my life.

When I shared the image I shared in my previous post on Instagram and Facebook, I added one of my favorite love songs from the 70s, Teddy Pendergrass’ “When Somebody Loves You Back.” Enjoy!♥️ ~Shaun

Keep following your passions. They will lead you to where you are meant to be.

Passions come and passions go. However, I believe true passions never leave. If you have had the same core passions from childhood, they never truly leave, even when you try to suppress them to fit into your adult narrative. Nope, they stick around and peek through every now and then. Listen, life is too short to keep suppressing what you love. Let your passions shine. Be who you are. Love who you are. You are your passions. Embrace them.

Live your truth.

Be who God created you to be.
