Since 2014, the following two scriptures have been my go to whenever I have felt uneasy or anxious. Part of the scripture is written on a folded note that I keep in my wallet. I have held on to it since September 22, 2014. Tear stains have washed out a few words, but the meaning is still the same.
Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
6. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
The peace of God transcends all understanding.

“Beyond Blessed“ was the theme I chose for Year51. At the time, I had looked back over the previous 50 years and realized how blessed I was and still am. I stated that I was, “Speaking life, love, peace, joy, optimal health, success, prosperity, and blessings over this next year and beyond.” So, today’s Facebook memory goes perfectly with my theme and statement.

Every season has its own blessings and lessons. After a while, you begin to realize the lessons are blessings. You will never move forward without the lessons—which makes them blessings. Smile

Hello Sunday! Not sure what I should write about this morning. I scrolled through my Facebook memories and read past journal entries from this date and nothing popped out. Maybe I will have something to share by the time I write my second post.

Side note: I really hate feeling like the weird person every time I share things like this or random prayers. I promise y’all I am not crazy. What I am going to do is trust God, even if I sound crazy.🙏🏽
**Had to come back and add this part.**
After I published this post and stopped trying to figure out what those random words/phrases meant, I heard “Confidence.” My confidence. I must be confident in what I know God has for me to share. I focus too much on not wanting to sound weird or being called crazy. It’s not about me. It’s about God and His glory (which I shared yesterday).

Today is the final day of Year50!!! This year has definitely been real. One for the books, for sure.
As I head into the rest of this decade there are two things I am certain of: 1) God’s timing is unmatched, and 2) I have been chosen by God to fulfill purposes that only I can fulfill.
I am so loving the woman I have become, as well as this side of 50. Looking forward to many beautifully, blessed years ahead.

Today’s Facebook memory has me smiling from ear to ear and in tears. Y’all, what are the odds of actually getting a second chance, getting a do over? Listen, and hear me good, DO NOT give up on your dreams. I can hear Yolanda Adams singing—

I know this word isn’t only for me!! Listen, it’s not over. Your dreams are still intact. If God has given me another go at my dreams, I know He will do the same for you. Your time has not passed. Nope. Not at all. God was only saving the best for last. Your future will be greater than your past.
My advice, because this is what I did and am still doing, stop trying to figure this thing called life out. Stop trying to figure out what your future will look like. Honestly, we can paint a million pictures of how our future might look and God will flip the script and do something we never imagined. We cannot predict what will happen or how things will turn out. We just can’t. So, let life flow and be open to new opportunities and possibilities, and keep your dreams alive. Don’t let them go. I’m seeing 80 year olds getting their doctorate degrees. So all isn’t lost, just delayed until the right time; and only God knows when that is. Until then, enjoy the here and now. Stay present and let God do the rest.
