Your Story’s Not Over

Good Morning!

Last year I shared the following on Facebook:

“It’s YOUR story.
Keep writing!♥️”

Shared on September 13, 2023.

Well, the same message applies today. Keep writing because your story is far from over. As long as you have breath in your body, there’s more to be written.

So, keep writing!♥️

Love you always,

Shaun

More Than A Conqueror

People are only privy to what you’re willing to share. They don’t know the half of what you’ve gone through to become who you are today. They don’t know the mental, emotional, and spiritual hells you’ve endured. Nah… only you and God know. You’ve conquered every battle and have the scars to prove it. What was meant to destroy you couldn’t take you out because you are covered by God. That’s right. You’re covered! And you are still here, and against all odds, you’re still standing. Friend, you are more than a conqueror!♥️

Love you,

Shaun

God’s child!

Embrace Your Authenticity

Good Morning!

In case you didn’t know, your authenticity is just as beautiful as you are. Don’t shy away from it. Nah… Embrace it.♥️

Love you always,

Shaun

What Do You Want Most?

Good Morning! Today’s Facebook memory will definitely make you stop and think.

“Discipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want most.” –Author Unknown

What do you want most?

That’s a question I asked myself six years ago, and one I continue to ask myself today whenever I’m faced with tough choices. What do I want most?

I’m a foodie. So, for me, it’s like having to choose between my favorite appetizer now—and I’m starving, haven’t eaten all day—and my favorite meal (cooked to perfection), but I have to wait 45 minutes before I can eat it. Mind you, I can only choose one…and I’m starvingand everyone else is eating. Of course, both will break the fast; however, only one will truly satisfy me. So, which do I choose? The quick fix or the one that’ll last?

Question—Are you disciplined enough to wait for what you want most? Better yet, do you even know what you want most? (That question just came to mind.) Because how can you choose if you don’t know? Food for thought.

Anyhoo… those are all questions I’ve asked myself over the years. Today, I know what I want most and I am not settling for less. As I keep saying, this side of 50 is different, and I’m loving it!♥️

Love you,

Shaun

Allow God To Lead

Lately, I have been intentionally pausing to ask God for guidance on matters that I have my mind dead set on. Yes…sometimes I have my own plan(s) in mind that don’t always align with God’s. Smile. From experience, I have learned that taking a moment to pause and seek God’s guidance helps me avoid problems and setbacks. Also, life tends to flow more smoothly when I allow Him to lead.🥰♥️ ~Shaun

How are you doing with allowing God to lead?

Forgiveness

Good Morning! Are you still holding on to past hurts or disappointments? You say you’ve forgiven everyone who has hurt you, but have you? It’s one thing to say you forgive them with your mouth and another to mean it with your heart. Speaking from experience.

Short story (making it very short)…

For years I had said I’d forgiven my daughter’s father for the lies, abandonment, and heartbreak he caused me. However, in reality, I had only packed the hurt away and covered it with things that looked and felt good—one of them was my marriage. Well, sixteen years after I ended things with my daughter’s father (close to nine years into my marriage), we briefly reconnected. Nothing romantic. He reached out to connect with my daughter. He also apologized for the things he did and put me through while we were together (and afterwards).

Well, after he finished his spill, I told him I forgave him. Y’all, when I tell you I felt like the shackles had been released! I said I forgave him and actually meant it. It wasn’t all talk. Unfortunately and fortunately, that act of forgiveness opened my eyes to decisions and choices I had made while I was hurt. Which meant I had to clean up a few messes, beginning with letting my ex go (details about my decision can be found in past posts).

Listen.

Forgive.

Forgive with your whole heart.

I know it’s easier said than done.

Ask God for help—He’s got you!

True forgiveness sets great things in motion.

Try it!

Well, that’s all for now. Thanks for reading. I pray you have a wonderful day and an amazing week!♥️

Love you,

You’re Becoming That Person

Good Morning! Not sure if you realize this but every day you’re changing. You’re not the same person you were a decade ago, a year, not even a month ago. No, you are evolving and growing. You’re becoming that person God created you to be. So, whenever you feel like life is at a standstill or isn’t going as planned, remember where you used to be compared to where you are now. You’re so much stronger and wiser, and it’s beautiful.♥️

Love you always,

Gratitude

On this date last year I wrote, “God, thank You for my life.♥️”

Today, I feel the same. I am so very grateful for my life. I know I’m truly blessed. There are so many who do not have what I have, and I am not speaking financially. So many are seeking peace, love, and joy, which I have. And for this I am grateful.🙏🏽

Beyond Blessed♥️
