I Am Enough
I just love TikTok’s #OnThisDay reminders. They’re just like Facebook memories and old journal entries, a reminder of how far I’ve come.
Here’s what I shared three years ago on TikTok (August 25, 2021).
Ha… I finally know—from my heart to my soul (without any doubt)—that I AM ENOUGH. What a wonderful space to finally be in. Y’all, I speak about loving this space I’m in all of the time because I know where I was. When I tell you this side of 50 is so different from the other. I wanted it to be different, but I’m not sure if I actually believed it was possible. But God! As I wrote in my previous post, change was what I desired, so I changed.
Y’all, God is truly amazing. I’m forever in awe of Him.

Happy Sunday! Have you ever wanted things in your life to change, but you were reluctant to change (behaviors or environment)? Have you ever assumed you’d wake up one morning and things would be different?
Well, my answer is “yes” to both questions—plenty of times.
When I think about my life, change always began with my desire for something different. Whether it was for a better life—physically, mentally, spiritually, or financially—or a different outcome to a situation, it first began with my desire for the change. After desiring the change, my thoughts began to change, then my actions. Soon after, my life changed.

Today is Year51 and two months! Woohoo!!🎉 Laughing because unlike last year, I haven’t been keeping up with each milestone month beyond my 51st birthday. However, last year I made it a point to capture each one. Here’s what I shared a year ago while celebrating my Jubilee year.

As I stated last year, I owe it to myself to become everything I ever imagined and dream, and I aim to do just that. Although I don’t feel like I am aging—y’all, I actually feel like I’m still 20/21—I do realize I am on the other side of 50. Meaning the next 50+ years I spoke of is possibly a beautiful reach. Knowing this, I plan to seize opportunities (the right ones on this side of 50—discernment on 10—no more wasting unnecessary time on things that don’t align with my purpose or dreams) like they’re my last. No more allowing opportunities to pass by in hopes of them rolling around again. Nah.. on this side I am truly living and taking in every single wonderful opportunity and experience God has for me. You wanna know why? It’s because God loves me and I love me, too.
Yes… I love me.🥰

You, my friend, are an atmosphere shifter. Your presence radiates hope, love, peace, and kindness. People are drawn to your authenticity. Yes, they love you. It’s who you are.♥️ ~Shaun
Shifting Atmospheres
Good Morning!
I began last year’s journal entry with the following:
“Shaun, your worship and praise shifts atmospheres. You were not meant to blend in. You were called to shift things.” (Shaun’s Journal, August 23, 2023)
I was not meant to blend in but to shift atmospheres.
YOU were not meant to blend in. You were also created to shift atmospheres.
Question – Are you shifting or influencing the atmosphere/spaces around you? If so, is it in a positive or negative way?
I am also asking myself the same. I believe it’s necessary for us to reevaluate our current situations and relationships and our impact in these spaces. If we’re lending to positive outcomes and growth, then we’re doing a good job. If not, then we either need to change what we’re doing (because sometimes it’s us) or remove ourselves from these spaces.
Hope
Peace
Love
Kindness
Prosperity
Growth
These are a few things I strive to bring into every space I enter. If I am not doing so, then it’s time to either make a change—if it’s where I am meant to stay at the moment—or it’s time to leave.
