In the Morning

Happy Monday! Not sure why I fell asleep with Cry On by Commissioned stuck in my head. Then woke up with Ain’t No Need to Worry by The Winans and Anita Baker playing over and over in my head. I shared both songs on social media. The first one last night and the latter, this morning. Both songs imply that problems, heartaches, disappointments and pain are only temporary. That if we would just hold on, it would all be over in the morning. Honestly, it’s hard to believe the pain will ever subside, especially while we’re deep in it. However, over time, the pain eases and life gets better. Please, hold on!

Sending prayers and love to those who need it. 🙏🏽♥️ ~ Shaun

What Are You Ready For?

I believe the following quote to be true. Whether it’s opportunities or relationships, we will always attract what we’re ready for. Now, how we handle those opportunities and relationships is solely up to us. The choice is ours. ~ Shaun

Bloom Where You Are

Much too often we find ourselves waiting for our circumstances to change before we attempt to move. Unfortunately, most circumstances don’t change as fast as we would like and sometimes they never change… until we change. Instead of waiting for things to be ideal, it’s so important that we bloom where we are. I’m a witness that if you bloom where you are, your circumstances WILL change. Be Blessed! ~ Shaun

MLK Day 2022

Today is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in the United States. So many are commemorating his life and legacy in different ways – hosting public celebrations, offering workshops, giving speeches, posting quotes, serving others (National Day of Service), and the list goes on. This year I have decided to share the transcript of his final speech, which was delivered on April 3, 1968, the day before his assassination.

Even though we are no where near where Dr. King envisioned we would be, I remain hopeful that one day we will live in a world where human lives are valued more than money. Where love, kindness, compassion and empathy are the norms. Where our differences are embraced not tolerated or rejected. Yes.. I choose to remain hopeful that one day we will sing in perfect harmony, and I pray I get a glimpse of it in my lifetime.

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!
