Always Give Thanks

It doesn’t have to be a special occasion or Thanksgiving to show your appreciation to God or others. Never miss an opportunity to say “Thanks.”

My Soul Is Content

I made it to the water, y’all! Now my soul is content. Just needed to feel the vibes and hear the waves. God is good. I am so grateful He loves me. Can’t say it enough, I am truly, truly blessed.♥️ ~Shaun

God always provides what we need. Be careful not to overlook your blessings because they are not what you envisioned. Release control.

I needed this. Serenity…

Gratitude and Grace

Took a moment to check my social media accounts (now scheduled). Hadn’t checked my Facebook memories in a while. I shared so many great memories on this date. The one that I have decided to share refers to a pivotal moment in my life. I can’t say it enough, I am truly blessed. I am so grateful God love me.

Good Morning! Wanted to share one of things that changed my life. Almost 5 years ago, I discovered Oprah and Deepak’s meditation series. I was leery about meditating because of what I had heard as a child, meditation was “of the devil.” I’m soooo happy I let those past teachings go. Meditation isn’t satanic. Meditation allowed me to clear my mind of the chaos going on around me, and listen, listen to God. After the first series I really did become more grateful. Also, I always believed everyone was connected, but afterwards, I knew we were connected. I finally felt like everything I personally thought and felt about my relationship with God, wasn’t crazy. It all made sense.

I haven’t participated in a series in a while. I still receive invites when a new one begins. Today’s session is about gratitude (mostly all of them are about gratitude). When I began expressing my gratitude, even for the tiniest thing (like finding a parking space), God began to bless me. It’s true, when praises go up, blessings come down. No, I’m not rich financially, but I’m rich spiritually. Spiritual blessings are indescribable. The bond I have with God is like no other. I’m so grateful He loves me. I’m so grateful for His mercy and grace. I’m so grateful He changed me. I love my new life.♥️

Y’all, God is so amazing. And no, I am not crazy, we are all connected. Smile♥️

Be Blessed,

Shaun

Here I Am

Singing Marvin Sapp’s, “Here I Am.”

Here I am
I’m still standing
Here I am
after all I’ve been through
I’ve survived
every toil and every snare
I’m alive
I’m alive
Here I am

Praising God!

Listen, everything that was meant to break or destroy me was unsuccessful. It did not work! I may have stumbled a few times, but I did not fall. When I tell you God’s got me!

Here I am.

Still standing.

Yes, I am still here!

And, I am truly blessed.♥️

Beyond Blessed

Whew!!! My God!! Thank you!!!

“Beyond blessed,” is what I shared on this date last year, and it is exactly what I am feeling today. Feeling blessed, thankful, and grateful. Words can’t even begin to describe how thankful I am for the love, kindness, and support we received from thousands to help us get Marley back home. Y’all, please don’t let the negativity fool you, there is more good in the world than evil. Let’s embrace the good. Love you!♥️

Humility

Humility is defined as freedom from pride or arrogance: the quality or state of being humble. (Merriam-Webster)

Facebook Memory: March 11, 2023

Humility is the key to happiness and success. It allows God to move freely. Remember, humbleness is where ego ends and God begins. Stay humble.💙

Please keep the prayers going.

Thank you!♥️

Hello Sunday

When people show you who they are, believe them.

Dr. Maya Angelou

I tend to give people a lot of grace because I know people be peopleing (yeah, I know it’s not a word—I’m peopleing. Smile). You never know if someone is having a bad day so they come off as rude or unapproachable; or maybe that’s just their demeanor, but they are still good people. Listen, I have relatives who will cuss you out and love on you in the same breath. I also have some that will treat you like you’re the best thing walking and tear you down when you’re out of sight. Yes, I have seen it all. They just be peopleing. (Smile) So, for me, first impressions don’t really mean anything. It’s a person’s actions and character the majority of the time that shows me who they truly are. People can hide who they are some of the time but not all the time.

If you’re not privy to someone’s daily life, trust your instincts. Do not keep overriding them. If something does not feel right, it’s probably not right. If something seems off, it probably is. Stay covered. Believe me, when you stay covered, God will keep you protected.

And yes, this message is definitely for me too. I tend to extend too much grace. For some reason, I believe there is good in everyone. It just baffles me that some people intentionally set out to use, misuse, abuse and hurt others. Just writing this seems unreal. Thankful for God’s protection.

Hopefully this wasn’t too dark. Didn’t mean for it to be. Praying you have a wonderful Sunday and fabulous week. And remember to be kind. I really wish there was a way we could add more kindness to the world.

Love you!♥️

Shaun

Trust your gut; and always, always, ALWAYS, trust God. Do not override your feelings.

Gratitude: What Are You Most Grateful For?

Originally shared on February 7, 2022

I am most grateful to be alive. Grateful that I have another chance to love on my babies; another chance to experience something exciting and new (why am I hearing the Love Boat theme song—smile); another chance to accept or decline opportunities; another chance to make better decisions; another chance to live…to really live.

Of course I am grateful for so much more…including YOU! Thank you for taking the time to drop in and read my posts. I truly appreciate you.♥️

Now, it’s your turn. What are you most grateful for?

Smile, It Happened and Is Still Happening

Life is forever evolving and changing. Instead of crying over what was, smile because it was. Smile because you had the opportunity to experience it. Then, smile even bigger because you now have the opportunity to experience something even greater.

Happy Friday! Here’s today’s social media find. So, I’ve been reading old journal entries from 20+ years ago and reminiscing about the good old days (BTW: Today’s MJB’s birthday🎉). It’s amazing how time flies. If I could go back, I would definitely handle some situations and relationships differently. There were people in my past I wish I would have kept in touch with (grateful for FB reconnections 🤗). There were opportunities that I let slip away because I thought I was “oh so” brilliant 🤷🏽‍♀️ or because of fear. Either way, I lived and learned. One thing for sure, I can’t continue to look back on what could’ve, should’ve, would’ve, or might’ve happened. I can only look forward and enjoy the present ride.

I’m truly grateful for all of my wonderful experiences, whether they lasted for years or only a few seconds (that smile did something to me 😉).

Make the best of every moment. Don’t spend too much time thinking about how the story could’ve ended or will end. Enjoy the here and now.

Yes, it happened and it is still happening. Stay present and embrace the beauty of what’s happening now.

Just because a particular experience ended doesn’t mean something new is not already happening. God is forever working even when we cannot see it or feel it. Remember that every new day brings new opportunities and experiences. If we continue to dwell on what was, we will miss the beauty of what’s happening now. So, keep smiling. Our story is far from over. The best is yet to come!♥️
