Sitting Here Counting My Blessings

Singer, Koryn Hawthorne, begins her song, “Look At God,” with “Sitting here counting my blessings…”

I have so many blessings—too numerous to count. When I tell you I am truly beyond blessed; and I am forever amazed by God’s love, goodness, mercy, and grace.

I read one of my journal entries from this day ten years ago (September 7, 2014). Where I was then looks and feels nothing like where I am today. Where I am now is where I wanted to be mentally and emotionally then, but didn’t believe it was possible. All I felt was hopelessness. But God!! When I tell you I put my everything in Him and He did the rest.

So yes, I’m sitting here counting my blessings.

Listen, hold on. Life does get better. It might not seem like it when things are dark and you can’t see a way out, but it does get better. It does.

Discernment – Are You Using It?

Good Morning! Today’s Facebook memory is a great reminder to use discernment when making decisions. Especially when making decisions that are potentially life changing. Here’s what I shared two years ago.

Discernment– the ability to judge well: the quality of being able to grasp and comprehend what is obscure.

God has given each of us the ability to discern whether or not something is in our best interest. If it’s not, let it go. If it is, embrace it. Discernment is one of our superpowers. Be sure to use it.♥️

That’s it for now. Remember, God has given us all the power of discernment. Let’s use it. Our purposes are too great for us not to.

Good Morning! Listen, those blessings you have been praying for are coming. And guess what? You won’t have to seek them out, they’ll find you. All you have to do is be open to receiving them. Speaking from experience.

Short story…

Moments ago, I was doing what I love doing—creating; and while creating, the thought came to mind that I am actually doing what I love doing. It’s funny that what I had been working so hard to achieve, and thought I was miserably failing at, I have already been doing. I just couldn’t see it because I was expecting something different. I now realize everything has been slowly coming to and happening for me. As I evolve and grow—allowing God to lead—the more blessings and opportunities are coming my way. Y’all, when I really reflect on my life, I haven’t had to seek out anything—blessings and opportunities have always found me.

When I tell you I love watching God work! I just love how He loves me!!🥰
