The song, “God’s Grace,” by Trin-I-Tee 5:7, often comes to mind when I think of grace. The song says–
Everything you need is right here All of your problems, yes I’m aware And when you’re down, I’ll be right there You can call on me ’cause I hear your prayer No other name can put joy where there is pain He will do it for you but first you gotta know that it’s by God
… It’s by God’s grace All things through Christ Jesus No weapon formed against me shall prosper I’m so glad to know (So glad) It’s by God’s grace All things through Christ Jesus No weapon formed against me shall prosper Lyrics: MusixMatch
In 1992, my goal was to help end world poverty. Carol Moseley Braun was my inspiration. I had so many goals. When you’re young you tend believe that you have all the answers. Well, poverty is still here and will always be here. My goal is to help improve the quality of life of those living in poverty. I may not be able to save them, but I can help them.
Oh, I also wanted to be the Surgeon General of the United States. Boy did I have goals!😊
Carol Moseley Braun – First Black woman elected to the United States Senate (1992). In 1999, she became the Ambassador of the United States to New Zealand and Samoa.
Transparent moment…
My decision to return to school was not one that I made rashly. I know myself, and I know that this would have been something that would have hung over my head for years. I would have been okay with not finishing; however, I also would have wondered what would have been had I finished.
Today, I have a little over one week left in this term. I am mentally drained and a little discouraged. I am doing well, but not my best (yeah… I know this). I needed to see this memory today. I needed to be reminded of my “why.” I can do this!
That’s all for today. I may or may not make a second post today. Praying you have a wonderful weekend.
November is finally here! I am so excited because two of my besties turn 50 this month! Woohoo!! They are finally joining me on this next journey of life.
Today’s blog is about purpose. Are you living within your purpose? Here’s what I shared a year ago.
Facebook Memory: November 1, 2022
Purpose is not self-centered or self-serving. Purpose is so much greater than us.
I believe our true purpose in life is to fulfill another’s need. There’s something that we provide – different things for different people – that allows them to fulfill their purpose.♥️
We are all connected. Your purpose is far greater than you know.
I will add, sometimes we are aware of the need(s) we are fulfilling; however, often we are not. Only God knows what our presence in another’s life truly means. Keep allowing God to use you. Not only are you fulfilling your purpose but you are also fulfilling God’s purpose.
First thing I know, God is love The next thing would be, He loves me Sometimes I’m tired of waiting for a thing or someone Then I stop and see what He’s done and I know everything will come Maybe today, anything can change, nothing stays the same Maybe today, what’s tomorrow for, no one knows for sure Through it all, come what may Little miracles happen everyday…
What is a miracle? Love is a miracle Every time that you care, a miracle, it happens somewhere So many miracles, even small little miracles Just take one look about, it’s not hard to figure out ‘Cause it might be today, anything can change nothing stays the same And maybe today, what’s tomorrow for, no one know for sure Through it all, come what may Little miracles happen everyday
You CAN and WILL achieve everything you set out to do. Please do not allow where you currently are to discourage from even trying. God believes in you so why not believe in yourself.
Maybe your current situation doesn’t reflect what you envisioned so you feel a need to give up. Please don’t. Work through the uncomfortable moments. God would not have given you the dream if it couldn’t be achieved. You are already equipped to make it happen.♥️ ~ Shaun
