Hello Sunday

Amen 🙏🏽

Hello Sunday…

Yesterday I said I would fill you in on what prompted my post, Thankful for God’s Mercy and Grace. Well, without going into too much detail, my sister had to be hospitalized after developing postpartum preeclampsia. By yesterday afternoon, all of her vitals and labs were back to normal and she was able to go back home to her babies. It was a very long and scary week.

Now, I am waking up to news that a friend’s 17 year old daughter is missing. Whew!! I don’t even know how to process this one. This is her only child.

Also, now that I am finally awake and alert, I remember my son waking me up last night saying he had gotten a ticket on his way home from work. I looked to see if I had missed his call, but hadn’t. Y’all, I was exhausted by the time I got home. Once I hit the bed, I was out.

When I tell you I am so grateful he made it home safely. He’s been pulled over before for no real reason. They made him get out the car and everything. Ended up telling him he was stopped because his tag was hanging (it wasn’t). From then on, I told him to let me know when he left work or to call me on his way home. He didn’t do either.

Please keep my friend in your prayers. She’s very reserved and conservative and stays to herself. Her daughter and husband are her life. I can’t even begin to imagine what she’s going through.

Life… It does what it does. Believing God for another miracle. Amen

Unlimited Playtime

The following is the caption I used when I reshared my Wednesday Writings (shared in its entirety below this caption).

Facebook Memory: March 9, 2022

What would your childhood self create if he/she had access to the technology and tools we have today? Me? Everything I’ve created to date and so much more. Ha! I’ve already created an entire world [It’s Shaun’s World]!😉🤷🏽‍♀️

Wednesday Writings (March 9, 2022)

Facebook Memory: March 9, 2019

Happy Saturday! Here’s today’s social media find. Do you remember waking up on Saturday mornings looking forward to a day of nonstop play? Well, I do! Of course there was the dreaded routine of cleaning the whole house first, but the reward was endless play. During playtime, I remember being very creative. It was like, if your mind could imagine it, you could find a way to do it, even if the majority of the scenarios were make believe. Those were the days! I believe, as we get older, we become more skeptical and less creative because we’re constantly worried about what others will think or say. (I tell you, we give “others” a lot of control.) Today, I challenge you to let go and be creative. What would your childhood self create if he/she had access to the technology and tools we have today? I create accounts, pages, blogs and whatever else my mind can imagine at the given time. I know it seems like I’m all over the place at times, but it’s the way I have fun. Lol. Anyhoo – be creative!

Now I’m drawing! There’s no telling what I will be doing three years from now. Life is too short and too good not to enjoy everything it has to offer. Have fun!”

Now, it’s two years later (since 2022) and I am still creating as if I am that little girl with a great imagination and unlimited playtime. I still have a few more things in the works. Will provide another update in a couple of years. I never want to get to the point where I stop imagining and “playing.” Been there before. Never going back. I like it here.

I can still do it all. I don’t have to sacrifice anything… I won’t sacrifice anything.

I pray you are still imagining and playing as if you were a kid. Life just seems so much better/bearable when you are able to.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Be sure to have fun. Love you.♥️

Stop Running

Here’s one of my Facebook Memories from a year ago.

Facebook Memory: March 8, 2023

It’s not even mid-morning and I have a message:

Stop running from what you’re called to do and where you are called to be. God will equip you with everything you need when you need it. Trust Him.♥️

Well…

It’s time to stop running. You already know what you are called to do. Time to do it!

Don’t worry. God’s got you.♥️

Love you,

Shaun
