My Journey With God, No. 79

I began this morning with a note from my past self telling my future self (me today) that she loves me. See my last post, “I Love You.” Well, the messages to myself didn’t stop there. My morning inspiration also came from my past writings.

I was scrolling through my photos, and this one caught my eye.

I’m listening, God.

It dawned on me that the reason I haven’t completely embraced where God is taking me is because I’ve been resisting it. I’ve been running. Not intentionally, but I have. I shared the image/quote on March 8, 2024, and here’s the blog post I shared it in—

Well… 

It’s time to stop running. You already know what you are called to do. Time to do it!

Don’t worry. God’s got you.♥️

Ha! Little did I know what God had planned. And sure enough, I have been running. Today, because I must, I have to stop running, stop resisting, and embrace where God’s taking me.

The message is the same today as back then—it’s time to stop running!

God has placed a unique gift inside you that’s part of your purpose and calling. Whatever He’s called you to do—which will always be attached to serving others—Do it! As I have mentioned in past posts, things don’t have to be perfect or ideal for you to get started; however, it is important that you start and start now. Someone needs you, today!♥️

Trust The Process, Part 2

Meant to share yesterday’s message, “Watch God Work,” by Pastor Don Johnson, with you last night. When I tell you it was powerful!! The entire service was powerful.

First, it started with the announcement of Dr. Joel Tudman becoming the Assistant Senior Pastor at The Faith Center in Florida. He was previously an associate pastor at The Potter’s House, and now he’s off to fulfill his vision.

Listening to Bishop T. D. Jakes’ recount of the years of hard work, struggle, and sacrifice Dr. Tudman put in to get to his vision had me thinking about my own journey. It’s like God shows you the vision, but not the process. He doesn’t tell you that you have to put in a crazy amount of work to get to it. And y’all, the work isn’t easy. It isn’t just physically taxing but mentally and emotionally, as well. At least, for me it is. Anyway, it was the encouragement I needed to keep going. The process is only making me stronger. Eventually I will see my vision realized.

Here’s what I shared on X while watching Bishop Jakes pour into Dr. Tudman.

As I mentioned, the entire service was powerful. But I guess you could say, the message was the icing on the cake! I felt like God had brought Pastor Johnson in to personally pour into me. Whew!!

Here’s Pastor Johnson’s message, “Watch God Work” (if you know me, you know I love watching God work and baby I am a work in progress!):

One word—Chosen.

I believe this will be my second post for today. Nothing at 10:30 AM (CST). My routine has been off the last several days which has thrown my schedule off. I promise to get back on track soon. Asking for grace.🙏🏽☺️

Embrace Your Gift

When I went to share my previous post, a Facebook memory from 2022, on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, I decided to change it up a little bit. Here’s what I shared.

God has given you a beautiful gift that was meant to be shared with the world. Don’t keep it to yourself. Use it and SHINE!✨

Yesterday, on my way to the beach, I listened to Lewis Howes’ conversation with Tabitha Brown, You’ve Been Blocking Your Blessings! …. When I tell you that was another conversation that was God sent. So much of Tab’s story about dreams and hearing from God resonated with me. It was so nice to see that I am not alone. I know some of the things I post may sound a bit off, especially when I start talking about feeling shifts in the atmosphere and feeling the need to pray at specific times, but it’s so real. So very real. She also spoke about being obedient to God. How important it is to follow God’s guidance. How she tried doing it everyone else’s way, but it wasn’t until she started walking in her truth that she began to see her dreams being manifested. And her dreams didn’t even measure up to the blessings God actually bestowed upon her.

Listen, I needed that confirmation—which is something she also talked about. I needed to know that I am not crazy for doing what I know I have been led to do. This year, Year50, is the first time I have fully released control and have allowed God to guide and work how He sees fit. This time I actually meant it when I said, “whatever comes and whatever goes, I will be alright.” Y’all, I’m cool. I am so loving this space I am in. It’s a place of peace and surrender. It’s knowing that no matter what happens, God’s got me.

Right now, I am currently using my gifts and being obedient to God. It doesn’t matter if I reach one soul or millions, I am walking in my purpose and calling, and it feels wonderful! Y’all, I can’t say it enough, I am truly blessed.♥️

It’s Time to Stop Hiding

Little did I realize I wasn’t just hiding myself from the world, but I was hiding my gifts. I was downplaying my purpose and calling. Well…no more!

How It Started

One of today’s Facebook memories was a reminder of when I first started creating and sharing inspirational content (2018). I updated the video to include graphics from 2023 and the one I shared earlier today, which included my first drawing for the year.

Much too often we forget to celebrate our small successes along the way because we’re so anxious for the BIG win. Well, today I’m celebrating mine. Over the years, I have watched my inspirations evolve. They are no where near what I would like for them to be, and have yet to reach millions (yeah.. thinking globally), however, I’m still making progress. I see the growth. #Grateful #Progress

I am so proud of myself for continuing doing what I love. I am not sure where all of this is going but I do know it’s part of my purpose and calling. Can’t wait to see where Shaun’s Daily Inspiration will be 2-3 years from now.♥️

Step Into Your Calling

You already know what you have been called to do. You have seen the vision and it is very plain. However, you are hesitant to move forward because it will take you completely out of your comfort zone; you feel like there are too many uncertainties to take the risk. Believe me, I understand. I am right there with you. But now is the time for us to step into our callings. No more excuses. No more delays. Those who need what we have to offer need it now… TODAY. Let’s do this!♥️ ~Shaun

Side Note: This consecration time with God that Bishop Jakes suggested Sunday is THE TRUTH! Listen, I thought I was already spending time with God and following His guidance, but clearly I wasn’t. Over these past few days, things that I thought I had handled resurfaced and I had a choice to either bury them again or face them head on. Well, I decided to face them. Listen, if you want to KNOW about yourself, spend a little time with God, real time with God and I guarantee He will show you who you really are. Y’all, it was not easy, but it was so necessary.
