Good Morning! Woke up singing Maurette Brown Clark’s song, “Just Want To Praise You.” Y’all, I don’t know about you but I never want to lose my praise. God’s been too good to me not to praise Him daily. The song says—
I just want to praise you Forever and ever and ever For all you’ve done, done for me Blessings and glory and honor They all belong to you Thank you Jesus for blessing me!
Listen, I can’t say it enough, I am truly blessed. Even being able to write and connect with you is a blessing. As I have said many times before, I try not to take anything for granted. God really has been good to me.

Since 2014, the following two scriptures have been my go to whenever I have felt uneasy or anxious. Part of the scripture is written on a folded note that I keep in my wallet. I have held on to it since September 22, 2014. Tear stains have washed out a few words, but the meaning is still the same.
Philippians 4:7 (The Living Bible)
Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
6. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
“Stay open for change. Be willing to accept the new thing God is doing.” Joel Osteen
That quote was the first post in my Facebook memories under August 4th.
God is doing a new thing. At times it may feel uncomfortable, but it’s necessary. When I woke up, the first thought I had was how did I end up here? Followed by, why me? Of all the people God could have chosen, He chose me to experience everything I have experienced. Why?
Have you ever asked yourself the same questions or similar?Why didn’t he choose someone else?
Then, I opened my memories and that’s the first message—be open for change and willing to accept the new thing God is doing.
Now, my question is, “God, what are you about to do now?”
Well, here’s what I am going to do. I am going to do what I have been doing for a while now and trust God. Trust Him wholeheartedly. Here’s a screenshot of the second post from last year. Smiling because it’s the answer to my questions, all of my questions—all of our questions. It’s not about our will but God’s.
I want to end with this, whatever it is you’re going through, give it to God, including your heart. I don’t know about you, but it’s easier for me to let go of things my heart isn’t attached to. But it’s something that’s so necessary for us to grow and move forward. We trust God with everything else, why not trust Him with our hearts? Haven’t we figured it out yet that GodisThee Heart Mender. Allow Him to do what only He can do. Then… Stay open and be willing to receive and accept the new thing He is doing. Talking to myself, too. Smile.
Well, that’s all I have right now. I woke up a little after 2:30 AM and decided to write. So, I’m going to go ahead and share, then roll over and go back to sleep. I pray you have an exceptionally blessed day.♥️
For a day that started off rocky, it ended well. I believe it wasn’t until late this afternoon that I was able to sit back and breathe. Thanking God for rest because that’s exactly what I am about to get… some rest. And you do the same.♥️
Hello! So, according to my journal entry from July 30, 2022, I was deeply engaged in a conversation Jay Shetty and Lewis Howes were having on a podcast (will share the podcast if I can find it). It was about love, life, growth and relationships. Y’all, I took so many notes. I also jotted down important questions I needed to answer. One was about what I valued. I even wrote, “Shaun, what do you value?” Well, as I mentioned, their conversation was mainly about relationships/companionship so I answered accordingly. Today, I asked myself the same question but answered based on life in general.
Guess what?! I value YOU!♥️
Aside from my relationship with God, here are a few things I value:
Love, kindness, compassion, respect, optimism, peace, time with family, Me time, and people. Not necessarily in that order, but those are a few.

Lately, I have noticed how much more peaceful life has become since I decided to obey God the first time. Not the third or fourth time, or after I have asked for several confirmations, but the first time.

How many of you can honestly say that the time you spend with God is of high quality?
Well, sadly, I can’t. Even when my main focus should be on Him, it always somehow ends up on me. Me and my life and my needs. Below is one the “Wednesday Writings” from July 27, 2022. I decided to share it in its entirety instead of only adding the link. It’s my reminder to get my priorities straight and start giving God kind of time He more than deserves.
Today, I am beginning a little late. Decided everything else could wait. I needed to spend some quality time with God. Do not get me wrong, I talk to God all day long; however, while I’m talking, I’m also doing a million other things. So if my focus is not solely on God can I truly say I’m spending time with Him? Hmm…
Well, I began today a bit differently. In stead of me doing a lot of talking– asking a thousand questions and trying to figure things out– I sat still and listened. If you did not know, so many answers can be found while sitting still and giving God your undivided attention. You should try it!
So, yes.. today, I sat still, listened and found my answers. I hear You, God. Smiling
