Here’s a snippet of a message I shared on March 8, 2023, a few months before my 50th birthday—
The message is the same today as back then—it’s time to stop running!
God has placed a unique gift inside you that’s part of your purpose and calling. Whatever He’s called you to do—which will always be attached to serving others—Do it! As I have mentioned in past posts, things don’t have to be perfect or ideal for you to get started; however, it is important that you start and start now. Someone needs you, today!♥️
A couple of years ago, I started sharing “Self-Love Saturday” videos on TikTok. I’ve been debating on whether or not to continue sharing them on TikTok or begin sharing them on my YouTube channel. We shall see.
Anyhoo…
It’s Self-Love Saturday and the day after Valentine’s Day. Be sure to do something extra special for yourself. Me—I’m going to go buy myself some discounted flowers and candy. Smile
Listen, life is too short to keep waiting for things to happen. Always make the best of your life as it is now. There’s so much beauty in NOW!

Simple message, yet it is often difficult to do until all noise is blocked—both externally and internally.
All it takes is ONE decision for our entire life to change. What may seem like a small decision today could actually be one of the greatest decisions of our lifetime.

We must stay focused so when it’s time to make those life-changing decisions, we won’t hesitate to make them.♥️

So, this is how my “Love Day” is going…
Decided to take a short road trip to the coast to be near the water. If you’ve been following me for a while, then you know it’s one of my favorite places to be. Being near the water makes me feel like I’m one with the universe and closer to God.🥰
LunchIn the first chapter, Christy says, “I find it beautiful that God both made us in His image and named us in His image. … God is love.” In the words of Jasmine (Princess from Aladdin), “It’s a whole new world.” Gotta love life.
God is good. Soooo very good. Taking nothing for granted. Enjoying the breeze from the water. I’m truly blessed.♥️ ~Shaun
Not only are you loved, but YOU are love. Yes, you are one of the truest definitions of love. You were divinely created to be so. Believe me, God wouldn’t have it any other way. The way you selflessly give and pour into others is unmatched. Your heart is pure, and your kindness is genuine. When you smile, others feel it. When you say, “I love you,” you mean it.
I hate to admit this, but one of the first things I do when I wake up (after spending time with God) is look at X to see what national events happened while I was asleep. You know, if the country is still standing. Well, like clockwork, I did it this morning.
Y’all, sometimes I feel like I am the only one in my circle (besides my daughter) who’s paying attention to what’s happening in our country. For some reason, I feel the need to stay abreast of things so I can warn others if something’s about to kick off. Like I’m some kind of guardian or something. Most of my friends are in this state of, “We’re living in the last days, I’m preparing for heaven.” Um… I’m preparing for heaven too, but I’m also preparing to live. What if this isn’t it? I’m pretty sure people who survived wars believed the world was ending then, but guess what, it didn’t!
Well, after I closed X, I finally decided to check YouTube for some inspiration, and of course Pastor Joel Osteen had the message I needed, “Living At Rest.” I couldn’t help but smile when I read the title because God had been nudging me to re-read Christy Nockels’ book, “The Life You Long For: Learning to Live from a Heart of Rest.” I was reading her book during this same time three years ago (February 13, 2022). Here’s what I wrote in my notes:
I can’t say it enough, I love the way God loves me. Y’all, He’s just so good to me. In Joel’s message, he said to put a “Do Not Disturb” sign on things that disturb your peace. He said it’s not for others but a reminder for us to stay in peace.
Again, God is good, and I’m listening to Him. Going to be obedient and re-read Christy’s book—TODAY!
I pray you have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend. I’m going to post today’s message on my social media platforms, then hang up my “Do Not Disturb” sign. There is absolutely nothing I can do at this moment besides pray, and I’ve done that and God’s heard me. Now it’s time for me to rest.♥️
