Forever Creating

I really do love my life! Around 1:00 AM this morning, I woke up with the brilliant idea to create an online store where I could sell my artwork and quotes. Googled a few places and settle on Zazzle. The reviews were pretty good and the site was fairly easy to set up and use. However, it took a minute for me to realize I actually needed to use my laptop for some of the features. Anyway, here’s my store’s page – http://www.zazzle.com/store/shaunssmile. I also added a page to my blog that will house most of my artwork. So, some of the artwork I have only shared on social media will now be available for you to view. Okay, I’m tired! Good Morning/Good Night. Thanks for reading!

Enjoy your day!

Happy Saturday! Here’s today’s social media find. Do you remember waking up on Saturday mornings looking forward to a day of nonstop play? Well, I do! Of course there was the dreaded routine of cleaning the whole house first, but the reward was endless play. During playtime, I remember being very creative. It was like, if your mind could imagine it, you could find a way to do it, even if the majority of the scenarios were make believe. Those were the days! I believe, as we get older, we become more skeptical and less creative because we’re constantly worried about what others will think or say. (I tell you, we give “others” a lot of control.) Today, I challenge you to let go and be creative. What would your childhood self create if he/she had access to the technology and tools we have today? I create accounts, pages, blogs and whatever else my mind can imagine at the given time. I know it seems like I’m all over the place at times, but it’s the way I have fun. Lol. Anyhoo – be creative!

Now I’m drawing! There’s no telling what I will be doing three years from now. Life is too short and too good not to enjoy everything it has to offer. Have fun!

God Will Restore Everything You Lost

Reading through past journal entries from this date and came across an excerpt I wanted to share.

In 2020, right before the nation shutdown, I was in the process of closing on my house. This would be the first house I purchased on my own. You see, in 2015, when my ex-husband and I separated, I had to let the house go into foreclosure. I did everything I could to hold on to that house because 1) I didn’t believe I would ever be able to purchase one on my own and 2) my son loved that house. Well, five years later, I purchased my first home. Here’s what I wrote on March 7, 2020.

God is doing so much at the moment. It all amazes me. He keeps reminding me of what He said in 2014. “No one can receive your blessings like you. They won’t understand the praise behind the blessings. But God!” I’m so grateful. This is mine. It’s true that God will restore everything you’ve lost with better. I was looking at my bathroom the other day and thinking how it’s the same color as the one in the [foreclosed house]. But it’s the remodeled version of what I imagined the other could be. It’s a lot. And I’m grateful.

Of course this isn’t my forever home, but it’s mine. Every day I thank God for restoring what I lost. This is only one example of God’s restoration. He’s restored so much more and He’s still restoring. Listen, when God asks you to let go of something, stop trying to hold on to it, let it go. He will always restore what you believe you’re losing with better.

Thanks for reading. Praying you enjoy your week!
