Both Memories Are True

I couldn’t decide on which Facebook memories to share so I decided to share both. They’re both true—

If something constantly disturbs your peace, joy, and happiness, you must—not maybe—let it go. Stress kills. Let it go! On the other hand, whatever brings you peace, joy, and happiness, keep those things close. They are your lifesavers.

Note the hashtag “Peace Over Pain.”

There is no truer statement than—“Your mind must arrive at the destination before your life does.” I had to see myself living the life I’m living now before I got here. Meaning, when I took the leap to bet on myself, I could actually feel and see myself living out my dreams. Before then, it was no more than a vision. Now, I am doing it! I’m nowhere near where I want to be, but I’m definitely living in my dreams.

Side note: I love how I wrote that in 2019, two years before I actually took the leap. I guess you could say that was the transition period of my vision becoming a reality.

This morning I am smiling from ear to ear! Can’t you hear Beyoncé singing “Love On Top”? Well, I surely can. (Smile.)

Well… I’m not smiling because I finally got a man or won the lottery. Lol! Nope. I’m smiling because…….

Beyoncé won a Grammy for ALBUM OF THE YEAR!!!🌟🌟🌟

I am soooo happy for her!

Yesterday started off rough but ended up being a great day, and I intend to carry that same energy into today.

Hello Sunday

Good Morning☀️

The last few months have been an emotional roller coaster ride for me. However, these last two weeks have really done a number on me! Just being honest and transparent. Imagine spending your entire life picturing a future world where kindness, peace, love, inclusion, equity, and goodwill towards all humanity was the norm to… whatever this is. Y’all, I don’t even know what to call it. It’s like going from envisioning somewhat of a utopian world—if you know me, then you know I wanted the world singing in “perfect harmony” (smile)—to seeing a dystopian society being created right before my eyes.

This isn’t a movie. It’s real. So very real. Those hurting aren’t fictional characters. They are real people. Real people (not only “DEI” hires) are losing or in fear of losing their jobs. Real people—not only criminals but children and mothers—are being detained and deported without an ounce of empathy. Marginalized people who have spent their lives overcoming discrimination are being treated like they’re “second–class citizens.” Whew! Talk about triggering!! Then, to make matters even worse, access to vital information is being denied and/or erased. Again, this isn’t a movie, “fake news,” or “woke news.” This is actually happening!

I digress… (long sigh)

I know for my own sanity, I must let go of things I cannot change… at the moment. I know that I can’t help others if I’m not physically, mentally, or emotionally strong enough and prepared to do so. But y’all, I am so serious right now, my heart is breaking.💔

I found this among inspirational messages I have saved. A much needed word for today.🙏🏽

Smoke and Mirrors

Is anyone paying attention? So many distractions. Too many chasing dangling carrots and not paying attention to what’s really happening. They’re so focused on trigger words. Whew! Letting go of the things I have no power to control or influence. Staying informed, but releasing everything else.

Found this quote below in today’s Facebook memories. As always, God’s words are always on time— “Worrying won’t stop bad things from happening. It just stops you from enjoying the good.” I must stay focused on the here and now. What’s presently in my space. The good.🙏🏽♥️
