Shaun’s Daily Inspiration: April 2, 2022
How many of you were dreamers as a child? Well, I sure was! From designing clothes, cars and houses to becoming an ambassador walking the halls of the United Nations, the list of things I wanted to do or become was endless. Guess what? I still believe I can do and become whatever I want. And so can you! Tap into your inner child and create the life you’ve always dreamed.
Boy, did I have an imagination as a child! I remember when I was around six or seven thinking the world would probably end before I was 13. I imagined having to go into survival mode and the things I would do to survive. My mom had taught me how to crochet so I was going to crochet a pair of sandals and use wood from fallen trees to make the soles. Saw something on Daniel Boone or Little House on the Prairie (television shows) about whittling and tried to teach myself to do it. Baby, I was going to survive off the land! Then, when I got older, there was MacGyver and Knight Rider. By that time, I was no longer in survival mode, I was in my creative mode. I wish they had STEM classes back then. There is no telling what I would have created. I remember drawing this car I named, “Silver Moonlight.” It was a car that could transform into a boat and jet. It was BAAAD (very good 😊)! I just knew that would be my car someday.
I can go on and on about dreams. I had so many. It seems like the older I become, the more dreams I have begun to erase from my list. Not necessarily settling (or am I… hmmm) but making them more realistic. My mind keeps telling me I can have it all, but time is saying otherwise. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying I am old, but some things I just cannot see myself doing at this age like taking a space trip—especially not on what is currently created. Now, if it were my own creation, maybe so.😁
Anyhoo… It’s a little after 4 AM and I’m getting sleepy again. Going to go ahead and post this since it’s close enough to the time. Let’s just call this my sleepy post because I have no idea why I wrote so much. Laughing. Guess I felt like chatting. Well, now I am sleepy.

If you want something, or want something done, you have to communicate it. People are not mind readers. Stop avoiding the hard conversations. The more you avoid them, the deeper the problem becomes.
Just sharing what I have always known, but failed to do, until recently. What’s the saying, “Closed mouths don’t get fed.” It’s not always financially. It’s in every area where proper communication is lacking. Speak up or nothing will change.♥️

Each season comes with its own assignments, successes and challenges. We may not understand them or their significance; however, we must see them through.
Please remember this, where you are in this present moment is where you are meant to be. It may or may not be where you desire to be, but it’s where you need to be. There are opportunities, lessons, and protection that only this season can provide. Right now your job is to keep showing up. Show up fully and SHINE!

This morning I was reading last year’s journal entry (March 31, 2018). It began with a quote from Bishop T.D. Jakes. Basically, leave everything in God’s hands. He doesn’t need our help.☺️ Posting this for my Facebook memory for next year. Have to leave gems for my future self.
My theme for that year was “Clarity in 2019,” and it was definitely that. I learned, and am still learning, God always shows up and shows out when I leave things in His hands. Grateful.♥️

I am so grateful and thankful for life. Thankful for another opportunity to get life right. Thankful for another chance to love and be loved. Thankful for my babies, family, and friends. Thankful that we are all still here and doing well.
My daughter is home so I plan on spending as much time as I can loving on her before she leaves. She got here yesterday and we have already had a few deep discussions, listened to Cowboy Carter, sung, danced, and laughed. Hadn’t realized how much I missed her. So blessed to have her home. God is good.
Y’all, because of Jesus, I am who I am today—undefeated and blessed. It’s a wonderful thing. Amen

Facebook Memory: March 30, 2019
Happy Saturday! Here’s today’s social media find. This quote put everything into perspective. I have to start living in my purpose – for where I desire to be. In 2018 my goal was to – reflect, regroup, refocus and rebuild. Well I accomplished the first three, but I never changed my techniques to rebuild. I was using the same strategies I had been using for years. So when I didn’t see any real change, I became frustrated. Needless to say, 2018 wasn’t the year I thought it would be. This morning I had my “Ahha” moment. I need a new game plan based on where I’m going. Because where I’m going looks nothing like where I’ve been. I cannot rebuild on an old foundation. 👁
Both were great messages! Great reminders to restructure for where we are going, not where we have already been. That space and time no longer exists. We must not fear the unknown. The way has already been paved. Was paved long before we existed. All we have to do is take the first steps forward, and God will guide us through the rest. Love you!♥️
