Forever In Awe Of God

This Facebook memory has me smiling and gives me hope. It’s so timely!

Here’s what I shared on this date last year. Talk about mind-blowing! I just love watching God work!

Persevere, April 2, 2024

Thanks to Senator Cory Booker’s post this morning, PERSEVERE is the word of the day!

No matter how many setbacks you have, keep trying. No matter how many times you have to restart, keep starting. Keep dreaming. Keep creating. Keep building. PERSEVERE! In time, everything you once dreamed will be your reality.

PERSEVERE!♥️

Persevere is exactly what Senator Cory Booker did. He held the Senate floor for over 25 hours from Monday to yesterday evening. It was so beautiful!

During this time, he spoke about the injustices happening across the country and our dissatisfaction with our government (both sides). He read stories from constituents (not only his) who are afraid and worried about their future. He also shared personal stories. But what touched me most was him putting his heart on display for the world to see. There’s no denying that he truly cares. I admire and appreciate his leadership and love for our country and humanity.

Y’all, he PERSEVERED! The late Honorable John Lewis would be so proud of Senator Booker’s “Good Trouble.”

This is why I’m forever in awe of God. I love how He loves me and allows me to witness His greatness. Y’all, He’s so AMAZING!!!

That’s all I have for now. I pray you are having a beautiful day thus far.♥️

I love you much,

Shaun

My Journey With God, No. 81

Y’all, I’m still singing Koryn Hawthorne’s song, “Look at God.”

“Sitting here counting my blessings…”

Whew!

Despite all the craziness I’ve been through, my blessings outweigh the bad. I can’t help but be in awe of God and His love for me. It’s like nothing I have ever experienced. I pray that you’ve experienced the same.

Love you!♥️

My Journey With God, No. 80

When I tell you God KNOWS just what we need when we need it! I needed this message below to kick off today’s celebration.🎉

“Leave No Crumbs” by Sarah Jakes Roberts

Thank you, SJR!

Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts’ (SJR) words reminded me that I’m not who I used to be. I’m no longer the person I was ten years ago, not even a year ago (yeah…my life is transitioning fast). As she suggested in her message, the self-preservation method I was using before is no longer effective for where God is taking me. It’s time for me to let it go, stop resisting the change, and embrace the newest version of myself so I can move forward. I’ve been feeling this a lot lately. I just needed to hear it, and hear it clearly.

I’m listening, God! I’m ready for where you’re taking me!

Forever grateful and beyond blessed to experience and reside in God’s love.♥️

Protect Your Peace

This weekend, I was told that nothing seems to bother me and that I’m always calm. Well, if you read my post from yesterday, “Look At God,” you’d know that’s not entirely true. Things do bother me, but I have learned not to dwell on them and to keep moving. It’s called moving and living in a space of peace.

Here’s what I have learned over the years. Peace is not something you can buy, nor can it be masked and displayed for others to see. True peace happens within. There’s this calmness you feel inside—even when chaos surrounds you and your mind begins to worry (yes, it still happens—you’re human)—this deep peace within never wavers. That’s the peace I’m referring to. It’s that peace only God can give! Listen, once you have it, you’ll do whatever you must to protect it.

Protect your peace.♥️

Love you much,

Shaun

Hang In There

Here’s a little encouragement for today. Know that you WILL receive beauty for your ashes. Your tears and pain were not in vain. Love you!♥️ ~Shaun

When I shared this last year as a story, I added the song “Cry On” by Commissioned. Remember, “Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning time.”♥️
