First, let me answer a few questions that may or may not need answering. Yesterday, I mentioned that Michelle Obama was number four on my Top Ten list of people to meet, and Tyler Perry was number five. So, you may wonder if former President Obama was on my list. Laughing. He was. He actually rounded off the top ten. Yes, he was my number ten. And last night, my number five introduced my number ten. Y’all, it was beautiful! They both gave heartfelt, passionate speeches about what democracy meant to them and the need to protect and preserve it. Also, how our diversity is our strength.
When I opened YouTube this morning, Tyler’s speech was the first video that popped up so why not share it! Take a listen.
That’s all for now! Praying you have a wonderful day and an even better weekend.♥️
“My Journey With God” is the title I have decided on for one of my extra posts for the day. I may or may not post one daily, but when I do, it will be authentic, not forced.
Trust.
Trust God.
Trust His plan.
That’s the message! Have a wonderfully blessed day.♥️
Today I second guessed myself. Something I am not proud of because I know what I heard God say to do. Don’t worry, I’m not going to speak in code. I’m going to tell you exactly what happened.
You know how I said I was going to start sharing an afternoon post, and that post would probably be a Facebook memory? Well, that’s what I did. I shared a Facebook post. The thing is, all while I was writing, I kept hearing to wait. But I wanted to get something out around the same time I had posted the days before, and since that memory was there, that’s what I shared. Y’all, not even 30 minutes later, I kept hearing Donald Lawrence’s song, “I Speak Life.” That’s when I heard to share it. Well, I was hesitant to share it because I had made the post already. What would I look like posting back to back?
Ha! As you can see, I went on and shared what I heard about speaking life into yourself as well as those around you. Then, I searched my photos for an image because I knew I had shared a similar message before. Once it was shared, and on all of my platforms, I felt a little disappointed because I thought I was doing so well with being obedient. A little while later, I received a message from someone telling me they needed what I had shared. I needed that confirmation. I needed to know I was on the right path.
Y’all, God is doing something different in me. I can feel it. When I decided I was going to allow Him to use me as He saw fit, I had no idea what I was saying. I’m not backing out, but… Whew!
As I’ve been saying this week, I’ll keep you posted on how things are going. Let’s just call this “My Journey with God In Real Time.” I might shorten it. Hmmm… Maybe that will be the title of this series of posts. We shall see!
As always, thanks for allowing me to share. Love you!♥️
Smiling because three of my all time faves—my top ten of people to meet—were in today’s Facebook memories. Gotta love it!
I’ll start with numbers 1 and 2, chefs Leah Chase and Marcus Samuelsson.
I wish I could’ve spent one more day with her, but that one left a mark on me that can’t be erased. God is good. Forever grateful.☺️
During the summer of 2014, I made a Top Ten list of people I just had to meet in this lifetime, my faves. Well, on October 24, 2014, I met numbers one and two. Y’all, I was on cloud nine!!! The crazy part is, I could’ve met Marcus Samuelsson earlier that week. He was a guest at our national dietetics conference and had stayed at the same hotel as me (had no clue!). The morning I left, I remember looking up just in time to see this guy run across the parking lot and hop into a black SUV. All I saw were his socks and I knew. I just knew it was him. A few hours later, I received a text from one of my friends telling me ‘that chef’ I liked was doing a food demo. It was him!!! Had I known he was going to be there, I would’ve stayed for that day of the conference. But it was okay because I got to meet him, along with my other fave, Leah Chase, the end of that week. See my past posts for more details—probably posts around this date. Very interesting story.
Now, my other fave! Y’all already know him—Mr. Tyler Perry! Lol. He was also on that list of people to meet. He rounded off the top five—Chef Rick Bayless was number three and Michelle Obama, number four. Well, my number five, my all time fav, also showed up on my timeline this morning, and it’s so timely, almost like it was made for this moment. Here’s the post.
Always excited to see him win.
What makes this post even more special than it showing up on my timeline today is that one of the shows under that Netflix deal, premieres today!!!! Y’all, “Beauty in Black” is streaming today! Yayyyy!!! It’s his first series produced exclusively for Netflix. Can’t wait to check it out!!
Well, that’s it for now. I pray you have the best day ever.♥️
Hey y’all! Been trying to figure out what to call my afternoon posts, as if they need a separate title. Smile. As I mentioned last night, I think I’ll start sharing my Facebook memories in the afternoons. We shall see how that goes.☺️
Anyhoo… Here’s a much needed message that I shared on this date last year. When I tell you it is so important to stay under God’s covering and protection. So important. Especially when things are going well. Listen, never move without them.♥️
Love you always,
Shaun
Listen, keep your discernment on 10! If it doesn’t feel right, it’s not right. Period.
God is moving and moving in a mighty way. I can feel it in my soul and spirit, and it’s not superficial or emotional but purely spiritual. I know I can’t be the only one experiencing this.
Y’all, I am still hearing the songs, “Change Me” and “I Do Worship.” When I tell you my spirit is full, and the worship is running over. I haven’t experienced this level of worship before for more than an hour or so. So, this experience is very different. I really wish I could explain it in a way where you could also experience it. It’s like, while I’m going about my everyday life—working and all—the angels, my soul, and my spirit are having a good ole time worshiping God. I check in every now and then and do a little hand wave or say Hallelujah, but they are going at it! And I am here for it! Laughing
Listen, that’s all! I just wanted to give y’all an update. Smile. I hope your week has been just as excitingly different as mine.♥️
Love you,
Shaun
P.S. When you ask for different and you give God free rein, there’s no telling what He’ll do! And the best part is, your different will be completely tailored for you. Isn’t God good?!🥰
Tonight, I’ve decided to do something different—I’m going to bed earlier. My goal is to get more sleep. I’m aiming for at least five uninterrupted hours. My plan is to log off all social media by 10 pm and be asleep by 11 pm. My goal is do this at least three days a week. I’ll keep y’all posted on how it goes. This means I might need to rethink my posting times or post my Facebook memories later in the day. With this being said, I’m also considering posting more. Yayyyy! I kind of like the idea of sharing a mid-day post, and it does give me a break. So those worship sessions weren’t for nothing. I guess they were preparing me to do a little more. Smile.
I also posted another TikTok video this morning. This one was very short, less than 15 seconds. It was of butterflies flying around so carefree. I added the caption, “God’s got you.” Will share it below.
Anyhoo… I’m about to start shutting things down. Going to scroll down my timelines one last time, then log off. I pray you had a wonderful day and wishing you a peaceful night.♥️
Y’all, I don’t know what God is doing, or what’s happening, but something is taking place. My spirit and soul feels it. Unlike other times when this has happened, I don’t feel anxious or nervous, as if something bad is happening. I actually feel at peace.
Today’s worship song is John P. Kee’s, “I Do Worship.” If you read my earlier posts, you’ll know yesterday’s mid-afternoon worship session ended with this song. Now today’s session has picked up where it left off.
The song says—
I do worship, I do worship I do worship You I do worship, I do worship I do worship You
For Your goodness and Your glory For the joy inside Your story I do worship You
Oh, how excellent is Your presence We will bless Your name For Your goodness and Your glory For the joy inside Your story
For the peace You gave to me For the day You set me, set me free
For Your goodness and Your glory For the joy inside Your story
I do worship, I do worship I do worship, I do worship I do worship, I do worship I do worship, I do worship You
