God’s Plans

They say God’s plans are better than ours, and I choose to believe they are. For years, I tried to understand and anticipate where He might have been taking me. Big mistake! HUGE mistake! Shaking my head, laughing. It was always a waste of time, valuable time. Now, I try my best to let Him do His job with minimal interference. Yes, I am human and I sometimes believe I know best, but I don’t. After years of trying to control everything, I have finally learned God will always do what He does—the unexpected, the unpredictable, beyond anything I could ever imagine.

My advice, which I am also taking myself—stay in the passenger’s seat. Better yet, get in the backseat, put your headphones on, and enjoy the ride. If it gets scary, close your eyes. Trust Him. He’s got you. With this being said, always…always…always be prepared to move when instructed to do so. Stay prepared.

I know many of you may question some of the things I post about my interactions with God. How He reveals and confirms things. But y’all, it’s so real. He gives me exactly what I need when I need it. Now, Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts preached this message months ago. I watched it live. However, the message didn’t hit the same then as it is hitting today. Today, it’s right on time. And yes, it just happened to be the first video on my feed so I clicked it. Needed it!

So, I’m just going to sit it right here. It may or may not be something you need to hear.

Happy Sunday, y’all! Was debating whether to write about what’s currently going on in my life (things are finally settling down—will share later) or share a Facebook memory. Well…I chose the memory. Smile. Its message could not be any clearer—God’s will be done.

Whatever it is, release control and surrender to God’s will. Believe me, He will not let you fail. He’s got you.

Of course I heard Marvin L. Winans singing, “Draw Me Close To You/Thy Will Be Done.” Smile. He ends the song with, “I seen You work in others and I want You to work in me.”

This morning’s prayer is:

Lord, I am surrendering it all to you. I have seen Your work with others and know You will do the same with me. Lord, I completely trust You with my all. Thy will be done. Amen

Overthinking

I needed this reminder today because that is exactly what I have been doing lately—overthinking. Last night I told my daughter that I couldn’t stop. I couldn’t turn my mind off. Seems like I have been trying to solve everyone’s problems lately, and none are directly mine. Yesterday, I could feel my body changing. I had become so stressed and tense. Had to force myself to do something other than work or think. Decided to put down my phone and watch “Annie,” the Jamie Foxx and Quvenzhané Wallis one. I needed that bit of relief. I’m promising myself to do better today.♥️ ~Shaun

Good Morning! Here’s today’s social media find. I’m always thinking… often overthinking. Always trying to figure things out or solve a problem. Life is a mystery. We cannot predict what will happen next. We can only assume what will happen. Very few things in my life, have happened as expected. Honestly, I don’t believe anything has ever gone exactly as planned or imagined. So, today, I plan to stop overthinking and just let go. Totally trusting God.

Praying and trusting God to do His job because it’s not on me to do. I must remember my place. God’s got everyone I am concerned about. Trusting Him.🙏🏽

Expect Great Things To Happen

Look and think beyond what you see. Great things are already happening. Yes, they are ALREADY happening and will continue to happen!♥️

Yes, my first post for today has the same message. Smile. After sharing it here and across my social media platforms, I actually felt the message. It’s one thing to speak/say it and another to feel it. Well, I felt and still feel it, so I am sharing it…again.

Expect great things to happen! Expect it with all your heart and soul. Block the thoughts that you’re only psyching yourself up for disappointment. Baby nawl! NOT TODAY!! From here on out, despite our current situation or what we currently feel and see—keep hope and optimism flowing—great things will happen. Let’s intentionally expect them to happen. Just like I truly believe love conquers all, hope does also. Let’s fill the atmosphere with hope.
