Be Kind

Today, let’s intentionally be kind. Let’s even be kind to those who don’t deserve our kindness. Kind, but not a doormat. As my momma use to say, “Don’t mistake my kindness for weakness.” Love you!♥️ ~Shaun

Facebook Memory: June 14, 2022

Choose kindness. Kindness is not indicative of weakness. It’s a sign of strength, control and humility. And yes, it’s possible to exhibit all three simultaneously. I dare you to try it!😉

Push Through

You got this!

Push through feelings of awkwardness, anxiety, fear, and uncertainty. Push through insecurities, thoughts of inferiority, and feelings of shame. Push through the setbacks, disappointments, feelings of abandonment, and heartaches. Push through the anger, sadness, and loneliness. Push through until you make it to the other side. I can attest that it will not be easy, but it will be so worth it.

Oh… While you are pushing, make sure you are also praying. Prayer and continuous communication with God will sustain you once you get there.

Praying you have a beautifully, blessed day.♥️

Love you,

Shaun

Hello Sunday

Happy Sunday! So, below is my Facebook memory from five years ago. Smiling because I mentioned my plans for before and after Year50. Have I lived up to them? Hmmm…

Facebook Memory: May 26, 2019

Good Morning! No social media find this morning, only my random thoughts.☺️

Change is inevitable. It has to happen. It’s not always easy because it requires action, and sometimes action means leaving our comfort zones.

In less than a month, I’ll be 46 years old. I’m almost 50, y’all! Unbelievable! Anyhoo.. I often sit back and think about the things I’ve already accomplished, and smile. I’ve accomplished more than I’ve ever imagined. Which is awesome! However, I have so much more to do.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had this one goal- work like crazy the first 50 years and the other 50, do whatever I please. Well, I have 4 more years. Lol! I love adventures. Let’s see what I can accomplish within the next four years.😆

Well…

Back then, I could not have imagined that COVID-19 was headed our way and everyone’s lives would change. At that time, my plan was to finish working like crazy until I reached 50. Had no idea I would resign from my job two years later and venture out on my own. Honestly, I would have laughed if someone had told me I would have because I couldn’t see it. I was okay with my side hustle.

So, when I think about it, I actually began doing whatever I pleased prior to Year50. I may not be where I would love to be right now (it’s coming); however, this freedom over 50 is like no other. Not only am I free to make fluid decisions in regard to my career path, but I am free to live life as I please. Y’all, I really am loving life on this side of 50.

Year51 is loading…

Praying you have a beautiful day. Love you!♥️

Final Month Of Year50

Listen, this final month of Year50 I am intentionally living it to my fullest. Today, I am letting my hair down and letting Charlene (I also named my hair years ago—Donna inspired) do her thing!! Charlene, do you because you’re 50 too! Yes, I am intentionally enjoying this last month. Blocking any and everything that tries to stop it.

This is Year50!♥️

Letting it flow!

Year51 loading…

Hello Sunday

Wise words from last year… and I wrote them. Smile

Facebook Memory: April 28, 2022

Set yourself free! Release past hurts, guilt, disappointments and shame. Harboring even the smallest resentment can make it difficult to receive and enjoy blessings. Release opens doors for receiving love, joy, opportunities, and success. Let go and be free!

It’s true, if you want your life to change for the better, you have to let things go. Holding on to past hurts, grudges, disappointments, and even shame, only hurts you. It also stops you from fully growing and receiving all of God’s wonderful blessings. Listen, I don’t know about you, but I don’t only want some of my blessings. No… l want all of my blessings. Every last single one. Smile. Let it go!

On another note— My daughter came home yesterday for her friends’ wedding and is leaving this afternoon. So, I am going to spend as much time as I can loving on her before she leaves. Smiling

Praying you have a wonderful Sunday!♥️

Love you,

Shaun

Year50: Where The Real Second Chances Begin

Beyond blessed!🦋

I have written numerous posts about second chances. How God is so gracious that He gives us multiple opportunities to get things right, or to achieve our goals and dreams. Over the years, I felt like so many opportunities and time had slipped away. Honestly, I had given up on pursuing certain dreams and aspirations because I believed I had missed my chances. I felt like so many doors and windows had closed and would not reopen. But God!

Now, here I am at age fifty embarking on a new decade, and embracing the second half of my life. Had no idea 50 would be so liberating. As I shared in my previous post, my kids are grown! Like, they are adults. The only responsibility I have is me. The only person I actually have to make decisions for is myself. This is my second chance at adulthood. My chance to pursue my dreams. Smiling

Y’all, God is so good! I promise not to waste time on trivial things. It’s funny because earlier in my adulthood I deemed the years leading up to 50 as my trial and error years, and the years after 50 would be when I lived. Whew!! Y’all, I actually manifested how I wanted to live and then became agitated when my life followed what I had spoken. God really does have a sense of humor, but it’s all based on love. He gave me the experience I asked for (be mindful of what you speak). I am so grateful and blessed that He loves me the way He knows I need to be loved. As always, I am truly blessed.♥️ ~Shaun
