That thing you keep pursuing but just cannotseem to achieve.
That thing that has been nagging you for years, even decades, that your soul can’t seem to let be.
You know, that thing you were so close to achieving then something happened that threw everything off track…
Yeah… that thing.
Well, today, we are celebrating our (gotta include myself) wins in advance.
From here on, see yourself walking in everything you set out to achieve. Feel yourself in it! Yes, you had a few setbacks, but now you are finally there and pursuing other dreams. Pat yourself on the back because you did not give up. Nope. You were resilient. You hung in there and kept going. Now, you are there. YOU DID IT!♥️
What if I fall? Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?
E. H.
That was a quote I shared five years ago—January 14, 2019. Next is the caption that accompanied it:
Happy Monday! Wishing you a blessed week! Here’s today’s social media find. Take the leap. Yes, there’s a possibility that things won’t go as planned (been there); however, there’s also a possibility that they might AND exceed your expectations (been there, too). You’ll never know, if you never leap. You already know God is going to catch you– FLY!
During my adulthood, I have taken numerous leaps—mostly spontaneously. As I mentioned above, some things went as I hoped and/or exceeded my expectations, while others didn’t. Either way, I never fell or failed. Somehow I always managed to fly. All praises to God.
Lately, I have not taken any leaps (it’s been three years). I guess you could say I have been living a pretty quiet, unadventurous life—been playing it safe. Honestly, I am not sure if I am just tired or if the adventures have ceased. Hopefully, it’s not the latter. There just has to be more adventures and leaps in my future. Y’all, I’m too young to stop leaping now. Sighing
Why am I hearing Donald Lawrence singing, “The Best Is Yet To Come”? Shaking my head. My thoughts and their theme music. Even my subconscious mind has a sense of humor. My life… Laughing
Well, that’s all for now. I pray you have a wonderful day!
Today’s Facebook memory basically falls in line with the pruning I experienced several months ago, and the decluttering I wrote about before the new year. When we really start growing—especially mentally, emotionally and spiritually—we begin to discover we have to let a few things go (sometimes people). We have to let go of things that trigger and/or hinder our growth or progression.
From experience, I know this is not easy thing to do. I still struggle with it. I believe it’s difficult because some things have been with us for years if not our entire lives (certain mindsets, behaviors, and beliefs). Believe me, it takes a lot of discernment and a good relationship with God to know what to let go of and what to hold on to because if we are not careful, we could toss what we need and hold on to what we don’t. Yes, discernment is very important. Also, being still so we can clearly hear God’s voice is utmost important. I know…sounds like a brutal task, doesn’t it? But it’s not. Smile…
Listen, God will never steer us wrong or leave us without. If we accidentally let go of things (opportunities, relationships, etc.) we should have held on to, we will receive them again. Believe me, whatever is meant to stay in our lives, will stay. It’s called God’s mercy, grace, and favor. For those who know, know there’s nothing like it! Amen
Okay… I’m done rambling. Just know that in the end everything always works out because God’s got us!♥️
Here’s today’s memory.
Facebook Memory: January 13, 2022
Walking away from things that no longer serve us is often difficult and sometimes painful, yet it is so necessary for growth. I pray God gives you the strength to walk away from things that no longer serve you so that you are able to move forward freely.
It’s not easy but necessary. And don’t worry about making the wrong decision. God won’t let us fail. What’s meant to be will be.
Sending blessings and love your way. Have a wonderful weekend!♥️
This time next year, you will be in a better place in all aspects of life because you did not give up. You overcame your fears, mastered your challenges, and blocked all self-doubt. Yes, YOU!
You kept going despite the odds. Now look at you all glossed up and bossed up! I see you, and I am so very proud of you. You did not give up!♥️ ~Shaun
I cannot believe we are almost one full week into 2024! Time is doing what it does—moving forward without a care in the world. It does not care about feelings, life, peace or chaos. Nope. It just moves right along. Which brings me to today’s Facebook memory—staying present. I believe when we stop fighting time life seems to flow so much more effortlessly.
Facebook Memory: January 5, 2023
Let’s not be so consumed with the past or the future that we miss out on today’s blessings. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not promised. All we have is now.♥️
Staying present represents our respect for time.
Today, I challenge you (doing the same for myself) to stay present and enjoy the gift of now. Have a wonderful day and beautiful weekend!♥️
